Will we win the league this season? No

Watched the Arse game in a pub down south ,Luton fan,Scouse fans,Brighton fan ect all cheered like fook when the winner went in....they are not very well like by most fans.
So true. Arsenal are despised by all the other London clubs. I have heard it repeatedly at away matches. Liverpool have never forgiven them for that Anfield title defeat. Brighton hate them as well.

I predicted all the games and I get City and Arsenal each finishing on 81 points. I predicted City would draw at Chelsea and Everton and win all the other games including City v Arsenal.

Arsenal's loss today suggests that they may lose other games. Their performance was awful. They hardly created any chances at all. They are freezing as many suggested they would.

Wheres all the doubters though? Come on show your face now? Do it before the Chelsea game

Tell us why you still think arsenal win the league
Dude you somehow think that just because they are doubters, that means they aren’t City fans. Stop with this condescending bullshit you sound like a complete bellend. I still doubt it as we have incredibly tough away games starting tomorrow.

Whether we win it this year is one thing, but i dont see this Arsenal team going on to win 2 or 3 on the bounce

Personally, I think regardless of what happens this season, we win it next season with our eyes closed

It could but the chances of it happening are remote. In the last 60 seasons of the English top flight, the top two have finished level on points on just two occasions.

Having said that, the champions on those two occasions were ourselves and Arsenal…
But if, during those 60 years, the relative positions of the top two were identical to now at this stage of the season, it would have happened a lot more frequently.

So there's definitely a chance, but not as high as during some recent seasons because of the general drop in quality of the top teams this year. It's not unthinkable that both teams will drop 6 points or more during the run-in.

Also because of the fact that we have gained momentum at the same time that they are losing it. If it does come down to goal difference, you'd have to think that only one team is likely to win it :-)

Win the domestic treble from here and he goes down as the greatest ever, ever anywhere.
I'm sure BBC Sport's "Chief Football Reporter" (or whatever the rag is called today!), Slimey Stone, is writing just such a story, as we speak!

Need to do something about the goal difference, it’s essentially a point extra for them at the moment.
Imagine that our last two matches were league games - with Liverpool as one of our games in hand, that would have put us +2 ahead of them. We also have another game in hand to pick up some more.

That's how quickly it can change.

Too busy polishing turds at the swamp.

On another point and I realise this isn't really the right thread but, as the mancheest united correspondent i noted he penned a sniffling piece on fcScum.

Now, does that mean the bbc consider them one and the same?

I can't remember him posting anything non-league before in fact, I can't remember anything other than turd polishing at the swamp from him.

I think both teams will drop more points before the season ends I think if we can win our next 3 games we can possibly drop another 2 points and still win it.

Never said that you pelican stop putting words in my mouth

For me, at least 40% IF we beat Chelsea. That might be the more difficult game. Chelsea aren't as bad as their recent results may suggest.

We may fail to win every game, but Arsenal are likely to drop points too.

They tend to struggle after European games. If they eliminate Sporting, 3 of their last 6 games will be after CL games: City away, Fulham (h) and W Ham away. They don't look fresh, and that's probably normal, given they have been in a title race 4 seasons in a row.

On the other hand, we tend to hit form in the final months of every season under Pep. Few defences can look solid against our current front 4.
We are c33% now based on implied probability from betting odds and will certainly go 40%+ if we beat Chelsea.

As for the individual games we are priced at evens for both. So, implied 50/50 Chelsea get a win or a draw tomorrow and likewise 50/50 Arsenal get a win or draw at the Etihad. Fun times :)
