I saw a very convincing analysis on twitter that the plane shot down was an F35 based on the ejection seat photos were released, with geolocation and everything. I’m not even sure there was a pilot mate.

There were certainly a fuck ton of CIA people in the mission, 150 aircraft involved and six lost. It was a failed attempt to grab their nuclear material and I believe the pilot talk is the cover story.
