Edit. I’ve just read what you said. I absolutely don’t want to whinge myself. And this isn’t my way to do it.

Every club thinks refs are against them. The top clubs think it even more so, but their fans also think the same for the clubs they’re facing.

Nobody is right.

Another game, another clear penalty ignored, all decision's to the opposition. Every week, different officials, same officiating. Something is clearly going on with PGMOL and PL

I don’t think anybody is blaming the ref for us not scoring, not even against how he ref’d the game. For me it was more about the difference in how we were ref’d at the weekend.

If people can’t see that, they need better glasses.

Less Berty Magoo, more Mr Magoo.

It’s better to just let people vent their spleen. There’s zero objectivity in this thread.

There will never be total consistency as no two games will ever be refereed the same whilst a human is a referee and aren’t played in a vacuum.

They do as the same decisions went against them in 1891, 1932, 1965, 1998 etc.

It’s just people reacting like they would in the pub.

The difference is that it’s written down and it’s there forever. It’s an extended Matchday thread reaction.

It’ll quieten down again until someone posts who’s been appointed as the ref in our next game, and then declare it’s corrupt because that ref made mistakes against us in 1891, 1932, 1965, 1998 etc.

I think all the referees are prone to bollocks and that is where VAR should intervene.

The problem seems to be that the VAR team don’t want to be impartial, they don’t want to make their mate look incompetent so invariably just agree with whatever decision he has made.

We need a completely independent VAR body not run by the closed shop old boys masonic PGMOL.
