Trailer Time...

Considering this was, originally, going to be shown as a TV series, I think they've re-shot and or added scenes compared to the original trailer.

It just looks more polished and interesting now...

As one of the biggest Star Wars fans I just don’t get excited anymore, Disney ruined the IP. It used to be an event when a film came out now it’s meh.

That's interesting.

Is this film not a return to its original format of live and puppetry (&, of course, CGI!)?

I don't have any feels for the overall 'Star wars' franchise, but it does have its exceptions.

The Mandalorian and Andor are the best of bad bunch although season 3 of Mandalorian was crap. This is more a made for tv movie in my opinion and not really worthy of a cinema release. Unfortunately Disney have ruined a once great IP with them trying to shoehorn in and cater for a more “diverse” audience, young girls don’t give a shit about Star Wars and the whole Acolyte messaging was fucking awful. They really need to come up with a decent trilogy that panders to the fanboys, if you do this word of mouth etc and you’ll get a huge hit again. You only have to look at Disneyworld Star Wars and they are changing that to get away from the sequels as no one gives a shit about them. Sadly like Marvel they’ve rinsed it too much and I fear both IPs are doomed (no pun intended) now.

That's fair.

I believe they're doing an 'X-Fighter' film with Gosling in the lead? Not sure why that would be an interesting go to, but there you have it!

I agree, tough, the films need to move on from the 'Skywalker' lineage. The whole franchise needs a real shakeup almost as seismic as 'Andor' in its storytelling phase.

Ye new Gosling film but like it’s already been pointed out it’s got another young kid in it, so just like the prequels they just can’t seem to get a different narrative. The cast for the new Gosling film is good and I’d say that’s make or break for SW, if it flops then they need to leave the franchise alone for 20 years at least.

Now, I didn't like the soulless "Man on Fire" with Scott Glenn. I thought it was pointless.

The version with Denzel Washington hit all the right notes, the self flagellation, the death wish, the rage and the small light in the dark. It was almost perfect and one of Washington's better performances, for me.

So, the question is...

Why are Netflix remaking it again...?

I've just thought...

What if 'ET' reached his home and he and his tribe returned and they decided they will "strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger..."...??
That will only work if they say it exactly how Jules Winfield said it.
