If we get rid of Bernie, Kovacic, and Reijnders, then bringing in both Maza and Anderson im all in for, both 8s.

If Reijnders stays I think we only need 1 of them as he and Phil can rotate as 8s.

But your also getting rid of Gonzalez (which I get because rumors are he wants to leave) which leaves Rodri as the onlt established 6 with 1 year left he will likely run down.

We will need a 6 as well.

Reis as a 6 is a 2nd choic3 option after CB and an experiment to try. He should be no more than 3rd choice imo, need a proper out an out 6

Gvardiol, no, CBs transitioning to DM is EXTREMELY rare for them to do (hence why for Reis it will still take time), Gvardiol is more LCB and LB, not a 6.

People will talk about Stones, but Stones looked best as a defender in rest defense who transitioned into midfield. The odd occasion Pep started him as a DM he struggled.

Anderson is the new 8 like Bernie, he can't be simultaneously depth for 2 spots properly.

We would need a 6. We can't let the entirety of next season be fucked because our only 6 on a year contract gets injured forcing our best 8 option (Anderson) to play as a 6.

Can only see us signing someone like Tonali or Enzo (using these players as have been linked) if Rodri is off.

But if Rodri is off I don’t see us selling I see us keeping him for another year and he goes on a free. So either way can’t see it happening until next year if at all.

While your question is valid.. Marmoush is actually good compared to Nico G, Reijnders and Kalvin.

But same thing happened with Nunes.

Nunes sucked it up and just asked Pep to teach him to do what he wants and look at what he is now.

Maybe some will make the cut, some don't.. but we did have a crazy hit rate of a lot of players.. now we're just not hitting jackpots as often outside of Cherki.

Most of this „ flops“ played very good for their clubs. Marmoush was the best scorer in Europe. Reijnders the best player in Serie A and had world class performances for the Netherlands and Milan against Madrid as an example. Some leagues or certain playstyles don’t suit everyone. Marmoush would probably be a hit for Liverpool or Spurs. Reijnders might just not be someone for the PL

yeah just think bruno is a way better player offensively and we got fernandinho at 28/29 and turned out to be a city legend. his immediate impact alongside rodri and anderson could be immense
