Noel Gallagher and City.

Still see him all over mate , all times of the season ,
U are way off the mark

I’ll say it again he is no glory hunter

Top blue

And uses his lofty media presence to champion City at every opportunity !

What’s not to like?

Give him a break ?

I've literally got him tattooed on me mate. I couldn't give him more of a break haha

Fair enough, appreciate your response

Think he's a loutish prick personally and I can't stand the fact that we seem incapable of going a full City season without him being involved in some PR campaign or other. You'll always see him at Wembley, in the away ends for some London games on free tickets, or in his box on the final day of the season, but never anywhere else.

I'll never forget in 2016 when they were going to unveil the new City badge on the big screens and after a 10-second countdown the screen transitioned to him talking about the badge before they showed it. That summed it all up for me. City's media team seemingly can't do anything without his involvement or say-so, it's very sad.

Their peak was 30 years ago now. The fact that it's still only Noel Gallagher who's considered as shorthand for a "propoh Manc, propoh Citeh" fan is a condemnation of the retrograde cultural ideology Oasis ushered in during their heyday. Manchester must never look forward, it must only pay homage to the past, over and over again.
think you need to relax a touch, getting so annoyed and bent out of shape because you personally don’t like him and the mere sight of him at city matches is sending you into this state, ave a beer, take a walk outside stay of social media whatever but you sound unhinged tbh.

The final dates are known over 3 years before.

It isn't the first priority for a lot of fans when booking holidays etc.

Noel was touring in the US ‘San Diego’ when we won the Champion's League no surprise he found the nearest bar playing the game with a group of American City fans.

His tours are booked years before the one next year will already be booked and the tour managers won’t look for the date of the CL. final

To be fair to Liam win or lose he’s on Twitter backing us up

I have two kids and I was in full control of who they support.

This wasn't Noel saying, "my kids support Arsenal..." It was him saying, "my kids WILL support Arsenal"
Probably a tongue in cheek comment about the amount of time he has to spend in London for work commitments.

Exactly.

Had this have happened 30 years ago it would have been Eddie Large celebrating a comeback tour with little Syd.

Thirty years ago today Oasis played two nights at Maine Road, I know their manager said “no matter what they were doing, Noel would disappear when the football was on”

You know what nineties football was like we have been spoiled I think

He mentioned in an interview that he normally tells his bookers to always keep the last week of May open in case we get to the Champions League final, and said he got caught out the treble season because the winter Worid Cup meant the final wasn't until the second week of June.

The minute I show the slightest bit of faith and confidence in City they fuck it up. My constant negativity and pessimism keeps us successful.
I'm the same. Always look at the pessimistic side but hope for the best. Always been the same, don't get cocky as it will bite us on the arse.

Sorry Bob he doesn't come across as loutish at all, Liam has in the past but he has got better as he has got older.

Lets go back, on a dark trip back to the mid 90s(its bleak) Them bastards had started to win everything in sight, whilst we slowly but surely were pressing every self destruct button we could grab. Enter Oasis. Now imagine the utter angst we'd of had to endure if these 2 were rags? It would of been gut wrenching. But they weren't, they were both life long blues and banged our drum at every opportunity. The coolest fucking band of the 90s were blues, the most popular band of the time were City, whether you like their music or not, you've got to doff ones cap for the services to City in the 90s and 00s. Every away day was about taking over pubs and wackin Oasis on, we were shite, and getting shiter, but we had the best band of the day(some might say) on our side and probably the envy of most other support that they weren't fans of their team. Lot of nonsense spoke about Noel n Liam, both top blues for me.
Edit: And before you think I'm a dyed in the wool Oasis fan. Not even in my top 10 bands of all time.
