PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If anyone's interested in 3,000 words of analysis on what reasons may lie behind the length of time being taken for the Panel in the PL and MCFC case to issue its judgment, The Lawyer magazine has just published this piece: Where is the Manchester City judgment? Eight possible scenarios

Not able or willing to respond myself to questions on here concerning this article. Maybe someone else will be, but that's up to them.
Just had quick scan it says
Imminent
Sorry stefan :)

Im sure far more than eight scenarios have been discussed within the thread. It's probably a combination of a few. One interesting point from the article is the notion a split decision could be a blocker despite the fact the public will never know. The implication being its far too serious to accept a 2 1 result despite the PL regs saying it's absolutely fine.

Interesting read although I am not sure I agree with the part I have highlighted in their conclusion:

Conclusions
This is all very much in the realm of the hypothetical. But the point is to show that the path to judgment may not be smooth, and there are any number of ways that this process could be, and perhaps is, being slowed down behind the scenes. The trouble is that in the delay, the process may lose credibility as fans lose interest and trust in the process. For now though, we wait.

To sum up this piece, the highest probabilities are that the judges are either still deciding, have been called to other cases which has delayed them (is a similar scenario to the above) or are in discussions about releasing the judgement at the best time (ie end of the season).
There's one thing in there that I hadn't thought about. I've said previously that I believe the reason related parties is part of the charges is to force us to reveal details of our commercial agreements with Etihad and other partners. Obviously the PL knows this via the APT rules but the other clubs don't.

So while it's pure speculation, I wonder if there's a stand-off over redaction of these details in the final report, maybe even involving going to court.

So on reading all of the scenarios there is a chance that we could hear imminently or sometime in the next 10 years.

I'm 73 and am worried incase I don't get to hear the verdict.I feel just like the guy in the Dirty Harry film when Clint couldn't remember how many shots he fired, "I just got to know"

I'm 4 and I'm worried I won't get to hear the verdict...

I’m a bit surprised at the suggestion that an appeal is inevitable. If the Premier League has lost on the more serious charges would they really have the stomach or the finances to prolong the agony?

If there was any truth to that or even a possibility of it, then the PL would not at all be acting in good faith. Seems a bit of a stretch, even for them.

I have heard decision has been made but VAR are now looking at the finer details to see if they can overrule this, so f**k knows how long it will take. ;)
