The Squad planning thread

I’d get Maza and Anderson even if we retain both Nico and Rodri, sign an elite winger and right back. I’d Keep NOR at LB, sell Savio, Marmoush, Lewis and Kovacic (due to fitness) and tell Reijnders & Foden to buck up their ideas.

Reijnders could play LW as he did vs Chelsea (H). Think he could revolutionise himself there.

Need to let Marmoush, Gonzales (reluctantly), savinho, Lewis, kovacic, reijnders all leave
Then buy players for the first 11 and let them compete
We need players who are gonna come in and score that important goal etc
At the moment it’s like we have two teams

Foden is an exception. He should be on the list due to form but he is a special case
Can’t let Nico G I’m sorry there’s a superstar in there. There’s no many tempo setters out there.

You say "need to let" them leave but that only applies if they want to leave
Not sure if any if the 6 want to leave. Getting them to leave is a different situation as we found out last summer with Ortega, Grealish, Philipps and Akanji.

Rice is the reason why I am scared of Anderson. Get Maza and keep Kovacic for another year and we good

Are these numbers or any individual salery numbers really trustworthy? I'd have thought that only the total of all players is known and the rest assumed based on what one journalist made up and others quoted later.

Right............ i`m locked in on hopes for this summer :

Anderson
Maza
Palestra
Diomande

Diomande isn't going anywhere this summer he's in legal battle, it's a messy situation.

"According to documents consulted by our sources, Yan Diomandé has signed a private agreement separate from his standard representation contract—an agreement that will remain valid until the end of his contract with RB Leipzig. This agreement explicitly stipulates that any negotiations concerning his departure from the German club must go through Maxidel Management. In other words, even though the player has officially joined Roc Nation Sports, he would remain contractually obliged to negotiate any transfer offers through his former agency until his contract with Leipzig expires. This point fundamentally changes the interpretation of the case... Indeed, if this agreement were deemed valid by a competent jurisdiction (FIFA or the Court of Arbitration for Sport), then any negotiations conducted by Roc Nation could be considered irregular, any club negotiating without Maxidel would be liable to litigation, and the player could be subject to legal action for aggravated breach of contract.

Image rights: a bombshell worth more than €7 million

A second contractual restriction complicates the situation: the player's image rights would be transferred to Maxidel until January 2031. A clause valued at more than €7 million over five years could be activated in the event of breach or unauthorized use. In addition, Yan Diomande is said to have signed a second separate document serving as a private agreement involving financial commitments in excess of €5 million in the event of a breach. If these clauses are confirmed, no serious club would be willing to take the risk of finalizing a transfer until the legal situation has been clarified."

I'd say they are fairly accurate.
The same figures appear on several sites.

Get Khaldoon involved, he could sort that out! ;-)

and why are you scared of Anderson due to Rice?
Looking better in a weaker side than he actually is. The technical touch isn’t there. Forest is playing in an open field all the time. I don’t Anderson in a midfield against some of the current best. It’s another Prem proven player in my opinion. Maza, Scott and Fernandes look better in my opinion. Anderson looks like a typical Liverpool player for me.

I’d love him to stay
I’d love him to actually play as well
But if we ain’t gonna play him he will want to leave
And no point keeping a player we won’t play
Same as Marmoush really

IN: Anderson, Kroupi, Eduardo Conceição, a new second goalkeeper and young RB?
Back from loan: Reis
Contract expiring: Bernardo, Stones
Sell: Trafford, Lewis (with buy-back clauses), Savinho, Marmoush

Yes, except the difference with Marmoush is he's 27 and Haaland isn't going anywhere soon, where Gonzalez is 24 and Rodri could only have 1 more season with us.So persuading him to be patient for one more season and we see him as the player to take over would be easier.

Conceição can't come to us next season
