North Stand Construction Discussion

minimum 50%, potential 100% depending on test events. Test events pencilled in for 17th and 20th
I wonder how they'll be selling tickets? first come first serve? Season ticket holders first?

Definitely keen to give it a spin though!

Are there likely to be lifts/escalators in the new complex? And will fans who sit in the North Stand be able to access their seats from the new complex without going outside again?

I only ask because me and my mum have sat in the North Stand for years but it's getting harder for her to do stairs now she's in her 60s. They didn't put any lifts or escalators in the South Stand, did they? If I remember rightly.

If there was a lift or escalator in the new North Stand that could get us up to the 2nd/3rd tiers, from where we could find our seats, that'd be much better for her. It'd be nice for her to look forward to.
I’m in south stand 3,we have a lift that will take you to level 3 concourse

That's great

The obvious concern is that people/fans will apply for season tickets there because they are cheap and not because they want to sing and to create a better atmosphere. How the club stop that is pretty much impossible, sadly.
Release season tickets across the stadium. HTH

Imagine the empty seats media crew if it's only allowed to be 50% full for the Villa game ! The fact it's restricted will be completely ignored just to get their clicks !

The only way I can see it being 50% for villa, is if it fails the 50% on the 20th. Very very unlikely.

Subject to the new areas successfully passing initial internal checks, the event on Wednesday, 20th May, will operate at 50% of the additional seating capacity, allowing more than 3,500 fans to attend.

Should the test event be successful, the next phase will see us trial 100% capacity at the final Premier League home match of the season against Aston Villa. Hospitality areas, the fan zone and the wider Medlock Square development will open later in 2026. ”

You’re never going to get everyone singing though. What I think is clear though, usually the areas with the cheapest tickets have the best atmosphere. So hopefully we see that.

“The event will run from 6pm to 8pm, with complimentary parking available on site. Tickets go on sale at 2pm tomorrow (Friday 1st May) for Season Ticket Members and Seasonal Hospitality Members, priced at £5 for adults and £3 for Under 18s. ”

It’s going to sound like I’m having a go here (I’m not), but would we sell out the entire north stand for villa? Maybe if it’s for the title or peps leaving.

I don’t know if they’ve released the ticket prices for that match, but I would have thought cheaper tickets, to make sure we do
