Will we win the league this season? No

even if WHU doing a favour, if we cannot beat a poor Everton with 10 days to prepare to it then some decent sides like Brentford, Bournemouth and Villa will put Pep's tactics to the test big time and lot of times we are just coming up short vs these type of sides.

something is missing this season, midfield is a huge problem. nnowhere near enough control even in games we won, let alone all the dropped points and chaos defending.

Only 1 team has ever won the english domestic treble, ourselves in 2019

This team is still on course for that, theoretically, but are miles off that team's level.

Sums up the current standard of the league for me. Arsenal will be far from great champions. Pep has done well to get this team competing this long into the season .
Good teams win the league, great teams defend it.

Let's see if they have the mentality to go again next year if they actually manage to scrape over the line this year.

I'm over last night already and will be more than content if we can win the FA Cup (barring another blatantly corrupt officiating performance like last year)

Everyone expecting Arsenal to walk the title now which is fair enough

They have two away games left
Their away form is not the best, apart from hammering spurs they haven’t really had a decent away match since Leeds in January

Arsenal will win the league with 7 points from their last 9 available.

West Ham could be a draw, but I fully expect them to batter Burnley (GD goes up) and to beat Palace who will likely be focused on The Conference League final a few days later.

City won't win all 4 games. Bournemouth away will be tough.

Last night was nothing to do with tactics and all to do with indivudual and less experienced players shitting the bed.

It happens. Tough to chase all season and be games behind.

If we dont win the league it won't just be down to last night's result, we're simply not consistent enough and have dropped a ridiculous amount of points to poor/average sides...

Dropped 10 in total against Spurs and Brighton alone (!) 4 at home to Forest & Chelsea, drew at a very poor West Ham...

We've shown we can beat anyone this season but we lack consistency and the real killer instinct needed to put games to bed and win the league.

It’s probably better not to win it this season, to give the ownership a kick up the arse and acknowledge that the signings simply haven’t been good enough over the past few years, that the collective quality of the squad is declining alarmingly and those in charge of it should be reevaluated.

Sustained mediocrity ahoy if a rethink isn’t triggered this summer.

Pressure does funny things
So far in this run-in, we are the ones that seem to be unable to handle the pressure. It was obvious in our game against Arsenal at the Etihad. Also, yesterday’s draw has reduced the pressure on Arsenal because they don’t have to win all their remaining games to win the league.

Being in front in so many of those games is that extra bit galling as well. Needed that 2nd last night pretty quick after HT.

Sniff…

Write Burnley off.

Our only hope of winning the title, if we win our remaining 4 games, is resting on West Ham and Palace getting results against Arsenal.

I hear this a lot but I actually think the opposite. There is no runaway leader hitting 90+ points because the standard of the league in general is higher, particularly the mid table teams who can all afford great players.English teams can still win all three European trophies.

If the standard has dropped, its right across Europe but I don’t believe that.

My thoughts as well.

Looking back at the Draw last night and the 3 draws against West Ham, Forest & Spurs fucked it for us.

3 sides there, in and amongst the bottom 5. We should be putting teams in those positions to the sword, if we have aspirations on winning the league IMO.

I think the top teams have dropped in quality so are now closer to the ‘middle class’ teams. The UCL is the only serious European competition. Last season’s Europa League final was Spurs vs United, lol

You can go back to any defeat or draw if City don’t win the title over the season.

The Spurs away result will probably be the title killer, followed by the draws against Forest and West Ham. City should have taken 9 points instead of 3 points from those 3 games.

I still can’t understand how City collapsed in that 2nd half against a dreadful Spurs team.
