Will we win the league this season? No

If Arsenal beat West Ham, I agree it's almost over.

If it's a draw, then we're back where we were, albeit with one fewer game to cut down the goal difference.

If West Ham win, which is definitely not impossible, then it's in our hands and last night's point would actually be an incredible result in the circumstances.

West Ham are in desperate need of a result. If they lose and Spurs beat Leeds the next day, they'd need a miracle to stay up. Both sides will be nervous as fuck and I wouldn't be surprised if whoever scores first goes on to win comfortably.

So far in this run-in, we are the ones that seem to be unable to handle the pressure. It was obvious in our game against Arsenal at the Etihad. Also, yesterday’s draw has reduced the pressure on Arsenal because they don’t have to win all their remaining games to win the league.
You mean the crunch game against Arsenal that we won?

It has reduced the pressure on them but that can also lead to them taking their eye of the ball. Title races are never straight forward and I will be shocked if arsenal just cruise to victory in their final 3 matches.

The current situation most certainly isn’t worth giving up on that’s for sure

it's not over, it really isn't, but the chance is slipping away.

This weekend could have us 3 behind with a game in hand or 5 adrift (or worse!) with a handful to play. We've been saying it for weeks, but this weekend a genuine momentum shift will occur.

I disagree, if we win the last four with a few goals like we scored yesterday, all it takes is for Arsenal to concede an equaliser in added time on the last day of the season. If anything, as long as we beat Brentford, a win for Arsenal will make the lads even more determined to win the last three. That mad fifteen minutes will have been a wake-up call, same could easily still happen to Arsenal.

If we dont win the league it won't just be down to last night's result, we're simply not consistent enough and have dropped a ridiculous amount of points to poor/average sides...

Dropped 10 in total against Spurs and Brighton alone (!) 4 at home to Forest & Chelsea, drew at a very poor West Ham...

We've shown we can beat anyone this season but we lack consistency and the real killer instinct needed to put games to bed and win the league.
Correct. That stat of joint most points dropped from winning positions this year is very damning.

So I was quite doom and gloom at 3-1 down but that fight back especially with the way Doku rescued a point with the last kick of the game truly has me believing that we are destined to win this thing.

The pressure has just ramped up a whole new level again for an arsenal because now they have it all to lose and that mindset can change the way they think and play.
Thank f*ck for that, if even you had thrown the towel in there’d be absolutely no hope ;-)

If anyone would've asked me in the past whether we could overtake Fergies United who are 8 point in front I'd have said no. I never thought QPR could scare us when we needed to beat a team fighting relegation. I never thought Villa would cause us problems on the last game of the season or that Brighton would score first, that Gerrard etc would slip up.

I would've been laughed at for saying Leeds and Forest are the ones to watch in the form league a month ago. I never thought Spurs would get 3 points away at Villa.

Most teams fighting relegation seems to suddenly find CL qualification form when they have to (Leeds and Forest) and West Ham might do. Even the likes of Burnley who are relegated will feel the pressure loosen and might find that extra fun in spoiling the party!

There's still plenty of football to be played so it's not over till it's over!!

even if WHU doing a favour, if we cannot beat a poor Everton with 10 days to prepare to it then some decent sides like Brentford, Bournemouth and Villa will put Pep's tactics to the test big time and lot of times we are just coming up short vs these type of sides.

something is missing this season, midfield is a huge problem. nnowhere near enough control even in games we won, let alone all the dropped points and chaos defending.
I agree but if we win the league who cares how bad we have been at times

Arsenal could struggle against either West Ham or Crystal Palace it's not over yet, the Brentford game is going to be an incredible atmosphere I can't wait to take my seat for it. We have won leagues from more precarious positions than this and thanks to the performance from Doku last night it's all to play for.

Obviously expecting Burnley to turn up and play like a peak Barcelona side against Arsenal isn't something we can hang our hat on.

It’s probably better not to win it this season, to give the ownership a kick up the arse and acknowledge that the signings simply haven’t been good enough over the past few years, that the collective quality of the squad is declining alarmingly and those in charge of it should be reevaluated.

Sustained mediocrity ahoy if a rethink isn’t triggered this summer.

It was more just looking at the body language and reaction from Pep and our players. It was quite concerning.

However there was a great camera shot from behind Pep with Dokus equaliser in the background and he just gives a very subtle but firm clench of his fist as the ball hit the back of the net and I just interpret that as though he believes there is still a bit of life in this yet.

It’s funny though if the roles were reversed and we were leading 3-1 and blew a 2 goal lead we probably are here now saying it’s probably done and dusted.

Context always plays an important role

Funny some pundits saying Arsenal will be licking their lips at the result last night and stuff, like they're serial winners, premier league sharks lol

Immediate objectives:
1. Beat Brentford and guarantee second place/finishing above the rags.
2. Then (assuming Arsenal beat West Ham) beat Palace to ensure that Arsenal can’t clinch the title at home.

Anything beyond that is dreamland right now - but crazier things have happened…

It is not damning. It is a sign of a very young team trying to discover their identity. Inconsistency is no surprise at all. If anything, the surprise is we may end up with 2 cups and a very close second in the league

And fuck the league ain't done yet.

Like we came up short against Arse (twice), Scousers and Chelsea?
