You're sounding like a young fan off twitter. One game where things didn't go his way and he's suddenly a liability and he's rubbish. Players are allowed to have games where they aren't at the races. Everton defended against him superbly.Another one for the ignore list.
Was it not Cherki that picked the ball up when Donna was not in nets and then ran the length of the pitch to get the corner that allowed us to score the equaliser in the 97th min?Awful tonight. Slowed everything to walking pace. Still farting about in injury time. Has to learn when to push and when to hold as he doesn’t get this right enough.
from french football to the premier league is a big learning curve , lacking consistency at the moment ,but comparing any player to KDB is unfair , he was nicknamed the Prince for a reason ,and the best midfield player this league has ever seen , if Cherki proves half as good as Kev then that would be a result. He's played the last two games like they were beneath him, somehow. In the big games against top opposition he locks in and really turns up, but in these last two games - Burnley and Southampton - he's spent periods strolling about like we've already won. He's got amazing talent. He's a fantastic footballer. But he doesn't seem to approach every game with the same attitude. There's potential for him to be as good as De Bruyne but he won't get anywhere near if he doesn't adopt Kevin's attitude, where every game was as important as the last. That's what he's got to work on next.
An accusation you could level at most of our attacking players.I've said it from the get-go, he's a freestyle footballer who thinks it's more important how he looks than the results the team get. Sure he will do the odd amazing assist or score a worldy, but the reality is he spends too much time posing or trying shit tricks that interrupt our flow. He's also continually being caught in possession. I can probably count on one hand the number of times David Silva was caught in possession in 10 years; Cherki passed that in one bloody game this evening. In short, he's a luxury that cannot be justified currently.
Not bad for "a luxury that cannot be justified currently"
Not that uncommon a trait. Remember Kinkladze? Sane? Sterling? All of them could be said to be guilty of the same "offence".Mercurial talent but you can see he does go missing a bit when times are hard. It’s one thing giving the big one in cup finals and big games showboating when we’re on top but you’ve got to put the graft in Everton away when we’re getting lumps kicked out of us and our arse goes.
He’ll get better, only 21. Need some consistency from him long term if he wants to play number 10 week in week out but don’t doubt he’ll get there.
True but you can’t say the same of KDB or David Silva. Like I say I think he’ll get there, at the best club to become the best in his position. Not that uncommon a trait. Remember Kinkladze? Sane? Sterling? All of them could be said to be guilty of the same "offence".
A few on here quick to have a go at him for his performance, but have we not considered he was doing as he was told last night?
