Invincibles v Centurions?

The fact that you have to scroll to the bottom on the page to find the Centurions tells you everything you need to know about the PL campaign against us .....FFS .

Amazing Premier League records that may never be broken https://share.google/rOHPU1zTYFSXoGxqD
Oh and since City were centurions Liverpool are mentioned twice in the following paragraph.

Whilst going the league season undefeated is an incredible achievement, I think that Arsenal side gets too much praise
They lost 6 times that season and were out of every other competition by the 6th April. They'd effectively won the league so only had the undefeated season to play for and played for draws.

Going undefeated is great but their points tally wouldn't have beaten the centurions and that's all that matters.

The Portuguese league this season proves it. Mourinho's team look set to go undefeated but they're trailing in second by some distance

City set out to win every game, whereas, certainly in the final 25% of the season, Arsenal set out not to get beat. They drew 5 of the last nine

Edit….
Arsenal’s 90 points has been bettered twelve times, with one of those not being enough that season to win the league
It’s also been equalled on one occasion, so 90 points is joint 13th out of 34 premier league seasons
More than one. Happened to Scousers twice.

The team set a number of Premier League records during the season, including: most points (100), most away points (50), most points ahead of second (19), most wins (32), most away wins (16), most goals (106), best goal difference (+79) and most consecutive victories (18). The team also equalled the record for the earliest Premier League title win (5 games to spare), beating every other team in the league throughout the season, and recording the most consecutive away wins (11).[2] As a result of City setting an English top flight record for most points in a single season (100), the team received the nickname "Centurions", and have been acclaimed by pundits and football journalists as being one of the greatest teams in Premier League history.

No more questions your honour.

It’s actually a ridiculous question. There is absolutely no contest. It’s unarguable to suggest otherwise.

Not even close is it?

What you can do look at how many team have nearly got close to 100 points in the history of top flight English football! Also how many teams have nearly become invincibles in the history of top flight English football!

Preston done the invincibles but only a 22 game league then but they also won the fa cup! Also Chelsea and Liverpool have been 1 loss of being invincibles.

100 points only Liverpool been within 1 point of getting 100 points!

If your an Arsenal fan you will say invincibles if your a Man City fan you’ll say 100 points!

As a Gooner I can tell you the invincibles were shit and Henry was overrated, and the Centurions were just a chequebook side and most of that squad wouldn't get near the starting XI of today's Top 4.

The greatest achievement ever was the Rags winning titles under the Govan Piss Can despite all the referees being against them and constantly being unfairly treated by the media. That was real struggle against overwhelming odds and today I still respect the way those Rags teams treated opposition sides with fairness and grace.
That's a very fair and balanced reading of the situation and one that should be applauded.

The name of the game is to get as many points as possible. As slur Alex said "there was too many draws for my liking". They never lost but City broke every record going.

Oh yeah agree am trying to look at it from both sides without the bias!

I say 100 points is the harder feat because you can play for a draw or a win to be undefeated and Arsenal later were making sure they didnt lose the game! Only us and Liverpool have won the most games is a season 32 wins! Invincibles is very close second though..

When you actually sit back and think about it, 32 wins in a 38 game campaign is ridiculous.
