Keir Starmer

Because people see him for what he is. An absolute slimeball of a politician who will say absolutely anything and mean not a word of it.

Everything is "my top priority" to please the crowds, when in reality nothing is. A man who said he would put the interests of the country ahead of that of the party, and the party ahead of him as an individual. When in reality none of that is true.

A man who said he will always take responsibility for the mistakes of others he leads... And then sacks them.

A man (a steaming hypocrite in fact) who was first to jump up and down at any hint of Tory sleeze, yet says "nothing to see here" when caught doing same.

It is a cliche to say "How can you tell when a politician is lying - you can see their lips move." But Starmer embodies that sentiment more than any politician in living memory.

And people can smell it. That's why they hate him.

You could well be describing Farage yet we are led to believe he is PM in waiting on a landslide of popularity.

Presentation is everything.

Starmer is not an inspiring politician and his support of Corbyn will not be forgotten, nevertheless none of the above marks him out as any different from the rest of our political class. The dissembling world you describe is the one they all inhabit, trying to escape blame and claim success is their currency. Unfair to single him out for characteristics they all share.

Delusional, won an election due to the absolute shit show the conservatives caused and now has made the country far whoew orse than even some of his biggest critics could have imagined. However the irony is plenty on here want to defend him… dont worry we will keep living with your shit decisions.
Whatever Starmer has done, how is the country "far worse"?

I wasn’t being entirely serious, keep your flat cap on grandad.

“we did it to ensure our children didn’t have the same hardship as we had” - well that’s totally failed. At least your generation could afford to buy a house and own property.
And pass on to the next generation or use accumulated wealth or even equity release to help kids to get on the property ladder. Btw, I don’t want fall out with you as I think you’re generally a good poster with some interesting POV’s.

I’m not being serious mate. I like FOCs generally, unless they’re blocking aisles in supermarkets or driving under the speed limit and in my way.

I'm not a fan of Farage, far from it. But I don't think you could put him in the same two-faced camp as Starmer. His views may be odious to some, but he is at least consistent with them. Who knows, I may be wrong, but my strong sense is that at least you know what you are getting if you vote for Farage.

I don’t think anyone knows what they’re getting tbh, aside from at a local level those of us unfortunate enough to live in a reform run council area!

What exactly will we be getting from Farage?

Hate the keyboard warrior attitude of aggression, if you disagreed with someone during a conversation in a pub, would you call him a “cock” to his face? Take a breath, think about your argument but don’t get personal, it’s uncalled for.
Depends on the context, I'd quite happily call someone a cock to their face if I thought it was warranted.
Also, I can form an opinion of a person based on what they've posted over a number of years. I stand by my comments, thanks.

A few well know policies.
- privatised health service
- no minimum wage
- no working from home
- zero contract hours
- ICE style detention centres in non-reform councils
- alliances with Russia

Just off the top of my head. There's many more gems.
