I love this forum lol!!
You’ve just said that. There's a fucking chasm between asking for an explanation for a decision, which every team has done once or twice and is basically just asking for the minutes of the VAR review, and trying to prove in court that the decision to disallow the goal was arrived at maliciously by PGMOL in order to specifically defraud West Ham.
Probably the highest number of armchair supporters and hence Sky subscribers of the teams in the relegation zone. What is it with this forum and the belief things are rigged? 13 minutes added time is a deficit to spurs as a draw is alright. So surely 13 minutes means they could get fucked?
Also, who are spurs? Why would tge powers that be want them ok? It is the so called red cartel also including white?
It’s really odd.
So why would they give 13 minutes to see them lose, when a draw more or less sees them safe? Surely just add a couple of mins?Probably the highest number of armchair supporters and hence Sky subscribers of the teams in the relegation zone.
They are likely to generate broadcast revenue, that's why they were in the Euro Soup League.
Sky tunnel reporter asks the 4th official. What is really odd, is that towards the end of the 13 additional minutes, the commentators know that there’s an additional minute on top!
Europa League final on the Wednesday. Assume UEFA say no top flight matches can be played at the same time.Point tonight may be enough as they have a 11 better goal difference than West Ham.
Newcastle v West Ham
Chelsea v Spurs ( few days after Cup Final, like our game v Bournemouth, why both couldnt be a wednesday is baffling.
Then last game
Spurs v Everton
West Ham v Leeds
I think the BBC are terrified if any potential controversy these days, I've noticed for a while that the pundits almost always go with the same decision that was made on the pitch, i.e. the safe option.Darren Cann (ex assistant referee) on motd:
'clear foul x 2 on the goalkeeper so correct decision'
questioned about similar goals given for Arsenal - 'the match officials must go on what they see at the time'
questioned about why other fouls on WH players were not chosen rather than the foul on Raya - 'they had less materiality than the foul on the goalkeeper'
why 5 minutes VAR, it cant be a clear and obvious error - 'with a decision of such magnitude its more important to get the decision correct rather than quick'
Whats the solution? - 'don't allow attackers in the 6 yard box until corner taken'
Phew, glad he cleared all that up.
Why can't they just announce to the millions watching and the 50,000 or so that there's going to be an extra minute? It's not rocket science is it, it would stop all the doubt and everybody wondering when he's going to blow up for full time.Sky tunnel reporter asks the 4th official.
We lasted over a century not knowing when the ref was going to blow. Why can't they just announce to the millions watching and the 50,000 or so that there's going to be an extra minute? It's not rocket science is it, it would stop all the doubt and everybody wondering when he's going to blow up for full time.
Personally I'd rather they have a timekeeper who stops the clock when needs be and it ends when we reach 90 minutes like they do in other sports.
Same with all the mainstream pundits in the media.I think the BBC are terrified if any potential controversy these days, I've noticed for a while that the pundits almost always go with the same decision that was made on the pitch, i.e. the safe option.
To keep their jobsI think the BBC are terrified if any potential controversy these days, I've noticed for a while that the pundits almost always go with the same decision that was made on the pitch, i.e. the safe option.
They gave 13 minutes for Spurs to win given that Leeds were safe and had nothing to play for.So why would they give 13 minutes to see them lose, when a draw more or less sees them safe? Surely just add a couple of mins?
But Leeds hit the bar in those 13 mins. They gave 13 minutes for Spurs to win given that Leeds were safe and had nothing to play for.
I’m sure Neville slipped up recently and said something along the lines of ‘we’re being told by the VAR’ and then backtracked and said they weren’t told anything and couldn’t listen to VAR
Don't have a problem with that personally, I'm just saying that if you want a system where everybody wants to know when the match is going to end then that's a potential solution. We lasted over a century not knowing when the ref was going to blow.
The time is always a minimum too.
The faux outrage about every decision being made makes football a pantomime these days.
I've heard that said before, I'm sure in one of the City matches a few weeks ago, the commentators were discussing a VAR review then the commentator, Jon Champion I think, said "VAR have just told us....."I’m sure Neville slipped up recently and said something along the lines of ‘we’re being told by the VAR’ and then backtracked and said they weren’t told anything and couldn’t listen to VAR
Leeds were the better team in the second half and looked the more likely to score when the board went up.They gave 13 minutes for Spurs to win given that Leeds were safe and had nothing to play for.
