He is on the right of the Labour Party but I don’t think anyone on the left would actually do anything a lot more left. Trains are being nationalised, British steel is being nationalized, minimum wage is up, health spending is always up, no one dare reduce pensions, (it’s needed) benefits wernt able to be cut, send spending getting more money but some reform, workers rights, council house building, renters rights. What’s left nationalise water ? Cannot afford it

No doubt there is a peerage or something in it for him. He was broadly hated in the PLP.

I don't know how Labour trigger leadership challenges but they'll want to do it fast now before Burnham gets close.
