Josko Gvardiol has been offered to Real Madrid and the white club's sporting management has had him marked for some time.His agents are looking for a possible destination and his contract expires in 2028.

Got slated for saying this but been told of an agent (granted not Elliot’s) that the deal has been done.

Not the biggest claim and not trying to gain any credibility as it’s pretty much already known we’re signing him.

But it sounds like done and dusted during last week.

Can’t blame all parties wanting it done before WC

Real Madrid and Barcelona would both want him, but paying top Euro is not their style, which means waiting two years. Improbable.

His agent more than likely wants the best terms for his client, understandably, but one tends to find that when players have been out injured for a lengthy period and been looked after by their club, a sense of reciprocity kicks in. I expect him to renew.

Maranakis has only had one club who he has had a beef with over transfers and that is Spurs and levy. I will be hoping for a West ham win at Newcastle so they can possibly stay up and send Spurs down to the champ.

Agent trying to get interest to get better terms in new contract for Gvardiol which City will prioritise this summer. Bayern also said to be interested in attempting to get Gvardiol.

More likely Munich bound, if at all, and Feyenoord are trying to link us with interest so as to drive the price closer to their €30 million valuation. Not convinced anyone will actually buy him this summer, especially with so little football played after his lengthy hamstring injury.

I’d read that, but as I say, I’m not convinced he’ll necessarily move this summer. There are also increasing reports in the Dutch media hinting that Smit could be staying at AZ for another season. I’d be more inclined to bring Reis back.

Far better to have him and Khusanov deputise Nunes, who is a confidence player and needs consistent game time.

Read is shorter than Ait-Nouri, so physically small, and needs at least another season of development, be it in Rotterdam or elsewhere.

Real Madrid rumors coming out around the same time we are negotiating an extension with Gvardiol? The oldest trick in the book!
