Prior to the trophy lift, prince William said something to pep and he put his finger to his mouth in a shush motion. Now maybe its the eternal pessimist in me, but was something said about him leaving (IE we’re sorry to see you go)? Fuck I’m just not ready haha.

From what I saw it looked like William said something along the lines of "and another one Pep" as talking of the cup

Doesn't anybody on here realise Pep has a contract until 2027?
Therefore he has a year left.
All this talk of him going is the red media and red cartel mardarses bollocks.
He looks energised. The team look hungry, I'd say he is ready for another season.
Nothing has to be announced because there is nothing to announce.

Personally I think he’s more likely going, my feeling is that it’s easy enough to have put this to bed categorically and it’s not been.

I’ve said before but imo there is zero chance that City don’t know, no way are we still waiting on a decision from Pep at this stage. Consequently I’m more of the belief he’s off.

Equally wouldn’t surprise me if he stayed, lol.

I personally think he has done enough to have put it to bed. The fact the media don't want to leave it in bed is another thing, it's not his nor the club's role to continuously have to play speculation whack-a-mole.

But the club literally has a plan in place incase and everyone knows that. If he goes Maresca will basically be announced at the same time.

I'd say the fact he hasn't really made up his mind is more positive and you take that risk.

Dont push him let him decide as he clearly isn't out yet. We might get another extension out of him. That team blowing up and having to rebuild it might genuinely keep him here longer.

Ironically, the media trying to push him only creates a situation where it is more difficult for him to immediately 'announce' hia departure, given he has gone to the effort of reiterating the default is he stays.

VK just extended his Bayern deal to 2029 so there is no indication he wants to move on currently.

Similarly, why would you want a club legend like that to have the job to follow Pep? It’s a poisoned chalice

Pep does not give the impression of someone about to leave, his energy both before and after the game looks as good if not better than ever. Lets not forget the City job is the best in the world. Great board, great young team and most importantly great supporters who when times are bad wont have tantrums and cry that they are not winning, but are patient and 100% back the team.

Managed a small team no expectations you can lose games draw games no headlines! done a great job!

Maresca had been at city knows how it’s run knows the expectations of our club knows people in the club Khaldoon Soriano and so on! He also managed a team with expectation won two trophies no matter how small they are!

So in what world you think Iraola is better choice I don’t know! All he has is he plays good football!

I reckon we’ve likely asked him and he’s said he doesn’t want it and can’t blame him. Bayern is a great place to stack up some trophies and experience before coming to City eventually.
