Trophy Parade in Manchester | Mon 25th May

The FA cup should always be paraded by the winners. It's a magnificent trophy that transcends all others and should be respected and celebrated as such.
Good point actually.

All we hear from fans these days is how the FA Cup has been disrespected by Clubs, Managers, football bodies and the media, yet in reality, it's the fans who do it the most. OP case in point.

Many can’t afford to come to the games. Others just can’t get tickets.

The parade gives the club and the players a chance to say, "Thank you" to the city and the people of Manchester.

It’s not costing us, the supporters, anything, apart from our time and expenses to reach the parade route.

I just don’t understand the negativity.
Miserable cunts mate, probably never do fuck all and struggle to fulfill the season ticket attendance requirenent :-)

Went to a talk by @Gary James once that mentioned the 1904 parade was a big one and was a catalyst for football becoming big in Manchester.

Those FA Cup final celebrations may have stopped us winning the double that season as we went to Everton the very next day after the final, where a win would have won us the league, but we lost (as I bet we were still drunk!).
Jack Grealish can relate to this ;-)

Not sure what's going on in the head of some of our supporters posts.
We're having a parade and event at the Co-op arena so Pep must be leaving?
In the real world it's to celebrate the mens domestic cup double, the Womens Super league title and a wembley cup final the week after the parade, and the under 18s cup double of the Premier league North which they're undefeated all season, and the FA cup putting the raggies in their place.
Someone remind me of another club in English football having a season like that..

The under 18s have had an undeniably brilliant season, but they didn't go undefeated in the Premier League U18 North. They actually lost 4 matches in the end.

They won their league and the FA Youth Cup.

That’s the important point. It doesn’t matter how many games they won, drew or lost!

I wish this was dated for after the women's FA Final, so if they win, we could have one mega super bus with the men's League and FA Cups, plus the Premier League trophy ;) , the women's League Title and possible FA Cup and the Youth FA Cup and League Title

that is a bus full of trophies

Announcing a parade for an FA Cup, Womens League and Youth Team League win - nice as it is, seems a bit odd.

Can't help but feel it's going to be a Farewell to Pep Parade...

Our parade is booked , the Goons have an asterisk against their parade because they havent won f*ck all yet :)

Not sure why anyone has consternation about the parade - at the worst it's a brilliant opportunity to say goodbye to the greatest ever manager and two incredible servants, while celebrating wins across 3 teams. On a sunny bank holiday Monday. Me and the family will be there to cheer on the lads, women and youth players
