It was 3-1 at that point
That did annoy me, they could have alleviated a lot of pressure and make some long balls more meaningful by simply just playing a few passes and pulling celtic out of position a bit but they got too nervous"hoofball" champions perhaps
It was however the silly micromanaging by refs in game should remain consistent with micromanaging the rules elsewhere so let's get really picky about them nowBring them back on for what? Game was over.
Sorry mate. I was rooting for the Jambos.Gutted simply Gutted
They will find a way out of it.The game was not over. Celtic manager has admitted the 4th official said there was a minute to play.
A referee cannot end the game early other than abandoning the fixture for a whole host of reasons such as players safety
Hearts have them over a barrel here but it’s up to them to push this thtough
Nah it obviously wasn'tBring them back on for what? Game was over.
We have the same issue down here with the powers that be doing everything they can to help and favour the rag scum.It has nothing to do with setting up the final game and everything to do with the Champions League group stage money.
The season cut short through Covid almost every league was played out to a finish at a later date. Not the Scottish league. They awarded the league to Celtic , who admittedly had a healthy lead, with about 9 games to go including two Old Firm games !!! If that wasn’t bad enough after cutting the league short they decided the Cup Final , Celtic v Hearts, would only be postponed and was fitted in the next season. It has been openly corrupt for many many years
I’m not naive enough to believe my own club , Rangers, have not benefited in the past. It’s easier for a referee to take the easy option. We have the same issue down here with the powers that be doing everything they can to help and favour the rag scum.
Bring them back on for what? Game was over.
You may or may not remember in 2008 when Rangers were going for a Quadruple one club kept harping on about ‘Sporting Integrity’ and Rangers were forced to play 4 games in a 8 days including a league decider , a European final and a Scottish Cup final!I dont think you'll find anyone who truly believed the game should restart because the overall result would change.
However, what is absolutely vital is that the principle of games being ended because time has run out, rather than one team who happen to be winning decide that a pitch invasion is the way to bring things to a close. What if there hadn't been one minute to play, what about 5 minutes, maybe after 70 mins or so... where does it stop? Celtic in this case did this in both of their final games. If a stand isn't taken, then there's no point carrying on. A team being told to get out of town for their own safety?
And, lets face it, the penalty at Motherwell that wasn't given (and then subsequently confirmed by the SFA as a penalty) would have won us the league no matter what.
If Hearts dont explore every legal and regulatory avenue to highlight what has happened here, together with the potential millions of pounds Hearts will have lost as a result of the last 10 days, then there's a problem at board level. The SPL can harrumph all it likes, it has made several key "mistakes" whilst the eyes of the world for once are on them.
Well done the famous. Get rest, and go again......
What happens if Dunfermline go 1-0 up in the Final? Is it ok for their supporters to storm the pitch and gor the game to be called there and then.
What a bizarre thing to say. Our pitch invasion happened after the final whistle.True, the league should strip us of our first title
They simply started coughing the ball up cheaply 2nd half and it was a painful watch as you just knew what was comingThat did annoy me, they could have alleviated a lot of pressure and make some long balls more meaningful by simply just playing a few passes and pulling celtic out of position a bit but they got too nervous
Indeed -next season will be surreal with the Carrick narrative being pushed all the way by Sky/ Slimey BBC Stone & the rest of he MSM clownsWe have the same issue down here with the powers that be doing everything they can to help and favour the rag scum.
I was there, definitely folk on the pitch after the goal. What a bizarre thing to say. Our pitch invasion happened after the final whistle.
So was I. I'll be honest from the pandemonium in the ground I couldn't remember much else than hugging everyone around me but having watched the game back numerous times the pitch invasion happened after the game had finished. Nothing at all like what happened at CelticI was there, definitely folk on the pitch after the goal.
People didn't get the outcome they wanted at the weekend so they're looking for crumbs of comfort elsewhere it seems.
Well you must be the only person not to have watched it back 100000 times since then... because you'll have seen no-one came onto the pitch until the final whistle.I was there, definitely folk on the pitch after the goal.
Not saying there was an invasion like at the full time whistle but there was folk on the pitchSo was I. And if that's a disgrace and worthy of abandoning a game just because Celtic won the league and some people have seen their arse demanding it, then fair's fair
Or... People can calm their tits and just accept the emotion of a moment like that.
Can I try?I know arguing with Celtic fans is like arguing with a pigeon, but FFS.
Find us some pictures of people on the pitch in 2012 before the end of the game. It's not as if there aren't thousands of clips of it online. Just one will do.
And, even if there were (which there weren't), the big difference was that the game carried on and concluded properly. Which it didn't on Saturday. Or last Wednesday. I genuinely have no issue with fans invading the pitch at the end of the game provided no-one (especially the players) gets hurt.
However, that didn't happen did it.... always the same with the establishment clubs, getting their mates to cover it up and pretending that what we all saw didn't happen....
