North Stand Construction Discussion

I don’t know.

It was one of the pre-Wednesday main test events.

It wasn’t advertised.

It was probably for City staff, construction site workers, and local residents only?
Ok , surprised it wasn’t advertised to the local residents group
(I didn’t see it mentioned)

No sign of the roof top walk, has it been abandoned?
Surely that is the least of their priorities. It has been a difficult winter with a lot of rain and storms, so if they get the stand open for Sunday it will be a good result. Peripheral money spinners will evolve, my guess is the priority once the season ends is to get the Medlock Square finished and some of the commercial buildings open before next season to maximise revenue. The roof walk might be held back as a result, but my guess it will probably not be open until Spring 2027. But it is just my thinking.

The commercial building shows no sign of been fitted out by anyone so I assume they have not been let yet.
I agree that Medlock Square Will be open in some form, all the food outlets might not be up and running and the shop will be open.
The museum will probably be a bit later.

Yes, it was for staff/friends/family.
It was free and included food/drink. A bit boring really. Some music and a phone app quiz.
A quick hint for those going to the next test. Read up on the new stats for the development/north stand ;)

I wonder why the seats don't (yet) go all the way to the edges of the new stand in some places? Doesn't seem like its sight lines as there are 4 rows that do. Picture credit @ssskies
