North Stand Construction Discussion

I was in 234 for the game yesterday and the atmosphere was really good once people got it going. The standing section near me on the side most people were sat down which was a surprise but in time I think we can really get the atmosphere going. On a side note the seats do seem a lot more tighter and less space once sat down.

I spoke to a few people yesterday who aren’t in 1894 and they all said they are staying in SSL1.

That’s not to say there aren’t people moving from SSL1 to NSL2.

The new North stand and NSL2 are great, but I prefer to be closer to the pitch, where I currently stand, and closer to the away fans.

The view from where I stand.

Not from my seat.

Agree. Think it will be nice to hopefully have a good balance between the two rather than all the singers in the NS/SS.

We were in the north stand, first row of standing behind the goal, definitely a great atmosphere, everybody up singing round us pretty much the whole game, my son kept getting asked to sit down by a fan behind him despite being in the standing area which was a bit weird.
Looking forward to being there permanently from next season.

One day it wil be bigger still - with a new sliding roof and a 72-75k capacity as the backs of the tte East and West stands are equalised in height from end to end.
There was a plan for the long term development options and the Roof, East and West stand changes were the last options.
Any bigger and a new stadium.would have to be built in the North stand car park.

The roof has a finite life and it will have to be changed sooner than you think.it already has issues in many places.
Bit of a dream project but I've been thinking about that
One thing I have noticed is that the roof supports are on the turrets so I'm not sure how they would handle it if they were building back. Re do the roof supports and put escalators in maybe.
Not sure if they could build behind the same and keep it open as they did with the North Stand for that reason but hopefully there's a way. Would love to see it.

It looks huge. Does anyone know what the full capacity of the Pep Stand is compared to the big stand at Spurs?
The upper single tier is 9520.

The whole north stand including the lower tier is aout 12500 - 13000 I think.

The next question is, will they replace the two GA+ zones with padded seats, and if so, when. The club announcement for those areas suggests they will.
