I would sell Ruben, he is too slow and his distribution is poor.
I got slagged off saying he’d be fourth choice but I stick to that, far too slow to play our highline, if we carry that on, no way he plays ahead of Khusanov
Our Sunday League team's manager used to tell us not to have sex on a Saturday night, as it would knacker us for the match next day.Now that he broke up with his gf, I expect him to get back to his best. Usually performs best when he is single ;).
So, that's Dias, Rodri, Gvardiol, Trafford, Gonzalez, Reijnders, Marmoush and Savinho going? So much for Pep leaving the new man a squad...Rumours that he’s asked to leave now that Pep has gone.
If it’s between him or Gvardiol, I’d drive Dias myself.
I’m not saying get rid but I don’t think he will be first choiceMaresca may not play much of a high line, outside of the odd match I saw of theirs when he was manager I couldn't say. Personally I'd keep him. Him, Khusanov, Guehi and Gvardiol is more than enough imo.

Maybe wait and see how the fucking WC pans out ;-)Fair enough. I reckon he won’t be either with the other 3 we have. Now it’s whether he wants to be a backup.
I’d sell Dias this Summer. (Which we won’t).
His stock will start to drop quickly over the next couple of years but as of now he still has a bit of a rep for being an elite defender.
We could get 70m for him if we can get the right buyer.
We could easily go into next season with these 5 CB
Guehi
Khusanov
Reis
Gvardiol
Ake
and if you want a 6th give Stones a year, pay as you play deal.
Nothing against Ruben and as a man he’s a top lad, but business is business and we should be ahead of the curve in my opinion with this one.
with his behaviour when we got battered by united particularly embarrassing
We have 4 outstanding centre backs, 5 if you include AkeKhusanov made a lot of stupid mistakes against Everton. From TV I could sense how nervous he was and wasn't ready for that pressure. That's when players like Ruben are vital.
Skills aren nothing without experience, leadership and winning mentality.
Ruben is a great CB and I don't think people writing him off understand that club extended his contract for a reason.
He will be first choice and most probably will be chosen as a captain.
If everyone stays
Ruben-Gvardiol is our main defensive duo
Khusanov-Guehi are subs..
Kush is the best central defender at the club. You won't get many Blues agreeing with your postKhusanov made a lot of stupid mistakes against Everton. From TV I could sense how nervous he was and wasn't ready for that pressure. That's when players like Ruben are vital.
