Chelsea will probably demand a high fee like they have with Enzo and Pedro so could see us not going for it, especially when we have so many options. But Josko at CB and Nico OR at CM in their natural positions is good to see.

He had a few purple patches, notably in 22/23 but what he gave us as an individual wasn’t worth £100m. My choice would be Wesley Franca 22 of Roma. Has energy and pace and physically seems to like a tackle. Sell Savinho and Lewis than that’ll do us. We’d have added a quality midfielder to a settled squad. We don’t need more upheaval after Pep going, so just need to focus on getting Rodri and Gvardiol new contracts.
