Has anyone wathced Peaky Blinders on BBC2?

Worth catching up on Iplayer or not?

Yes mate, I need to catch up and watch the 3rd episode but the first 2 were very good.

Its getting better!

Ray Donovan will take some beating though - brilliant TV.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is one of the funniest things I've seen in years. It's all on YT and 4od.
I have this on boxset. Nobody had ever heard of it when it was on. Richard Ayoade is fantastic in this. He's fantastic full stop. I still think People Like Us - the mockumentary - is just as ground-breaking.

just about to start season 3 of Breaking Bad, does it get a bit more exciting? because it is sooooo slooooow so far!

Yes. Much more from series 3

Just near the end of series 4 now, and its got to the point where you have to watch the next episode right after because of each ending

Yeah that's what I'm looking for. so far no episode has had me really wanting to carry on watching, it's kind of a slog at the minute, good to hear it gets better.

Its been good so far, as long as you can get past the joke Brummie accent! I know it's based on fact but I really couldnt get frightened by a gangster from the midlands making me an offer with a comedy accent.

I don't even notice the accents now,not important.

As for fact,we had similar razor gangs in Manchester,it wasn't confined to Brum.

Interesting fact........

By the turn of the century the gangs had all but died out owing to some of the worst slums having been cleared, the setting up of Working Lads' Clubs (such as Salford Lads Club) to engage the working youths in more peaceful activities, the spread of street football and the advent of the cinema.[2] One initiative to provide an alternative to gang warfare resulted in the formation of St Marks (West Gorton) Football Club, which later became Manchester City FC

I posted on an earlier thread about the "Peaky blinders", my great grand father Pat Collins, also known as the"King of showmen", organised the fairground folk in brum to stand up to these thugs, when they put the frightners on the stall holders for protection. you can google it under Pat Collins and the peaky blinders. Quite interesting read.
