Because they are behind schedule.

who say's the plan was to start removing the old roof as soon as the season ended and they are. Don't know about whats happening with concourses etc but I've not seen anything to suggest it won't be ready.
They certainly aren't telling people buying tickets for the stand it might not be ready.

Bit of an update - club have acted fairly with Laing in the final bill and I hear they could be negotiations ongoing re a price for phase 2 rather than a tender process.

So would I be right in assuming there are timescales and dates involved if they are talking price ?

Fairy ' Nough - thanks mate

Just rumours, stand will be ready for the new season, good friend of mine works on the project for Laing and there dead on schedule. Such is Laing's profile that with a contract that big they can throw extra men on the job if needed and work 24 hours around the clock if needs be, But he assures me that won't be needed.

Looking at the logistics it appears to be on schedule They maybe behind on fit-out but that can be remedied by more bodies the main infrastructure looks fine

The grass is a Desso weave system City were one of the first to use it all CFA pitches feature this expect to see the mobile tents on the pitch once the cranes have gone

Stop talking rubbish, half of the stadium have relocated, if its not going to be ready do you think that 6000 people are going to be locked out until it is ?

Nobody likes a WUM.
Not on wind up, have been in there ? or on the roof ? As for the new concourse it's still all just breeze block.

Up until a couple of seasons ago, all the concourses were just breezeblock. They now have some paint on them.

What dramatic changes do you think they need to do?

Stop panicking people.

They've got a minimum of 2 months to do the remainder of the work. Plenty of time

So in fact you have no actual knowledge, you are guessing, and by the way you didn't answer my question, will the 6000 who are sitting there be expected to watch matches in City square.

As I said talking rubbish.
