The worlds last Vulcan bomber will be in the skies above Manchester an Stockport this afternoon for those that are interested. It is due to fly over woodford garden centre at 3.09pm.

You can get the full details if you google them. It's a mighty impressive aircraft.
 
I saw it whilst I was driving through Stretford. One motorist actually stopped his car look at it
 
Gutted about missing it. Went to RAF cosford this morning for a look round but couldn't stay until 3.

I saw a Vulcan display at Woodford many years ago. My lasting memories of that day were 1. The Noise and 2. the car alarms going off in the car park afterwards. I've seen the Who live at Bingley Hall and that was loud but the Vulcan was so much louder.
 
I first saw it at the RAF show in Heaton Park, must have been mid 70's. It flew over low then pulled up to almost vertical and applied full thrust. You could feel the ground shaking. Awesome plane.
