City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Did your posts actually get published mate? I've noticed that first-time posters sometimes experience a delay on there before they appear. If they got deleted then that's laughable

Deleted. They went up awaiting moderation but have now completely disappeared.

Hilarious.

I dont understand why blues feel the need to try and argue with these people , they are thoroughly entrenched in their views and wont change their minds because of a few posts by rival fans. Well actually I do understand why people do it, deep down they are not comfortable with how we have arrived where we are so try to defend that with fairly weak arguments.
I'm confused, are you trying to suggest that those who argue with Arsenal fans, deep down, are uncomfortable with how City have arrived where they currently are? If so I can quite happily tell you I'm stunningly comfortable with how we've got where we are. We did what was necessary given the footballing landscape shaped by the likes of Arsenal in the first place. No guilt for me. No sense of not having "done it the right way". I couldn't be happier.

I gave my views twice this morning on that blog and funnily enough, they've been deleted.

No abuse, no foul language just a few straight answers to some of the lies they like to spout.

Cowards.
Me too. I only asked them if they'd had an open top bus parade for their balance sheet.

Pmsl ;-)

I took issue with the clown trying to compare them spending £2.50 in 1897 to our spending in 2009 ffs.

I mentioned how sponsors are falling over themselves to be associated with the fastest growing sports brand in the world and banged a few links up to SAP and the deal that just broke today and i guess it didn't go down too well.

I also answered the point made by one of the clowns about winning all their trophies on merit by asking if they were in the top flight on merit rather than by a dubious vote after coming 5th. That didn't get past the moderator either.

They also didn't show my post about them being happy to have the most expensive tickets in the league while two of the richest men in the world pocket the profits.

Me too, leave them to their bitterness then I say

Well said. Those dickhead Arsenal fans on there confuse our arguments with us being uncomfortable with our model which is a crock of shite - as I stated on there the other day, you couldn't put a price on the manner in which we won the league in 2012, not to mention the fact that it gave joy to millions of neutral fans as well, and there wasn't a single City fan thinking "Oh no, what are all these bitter opposition fans going to think?"

I first started to dislike the fans when I was on the bbc 606 forum ,that was back in the day when agueros goal was just a distant dream,i used to fucking hate them with a passion on 606,they made out they were some sort of footballing royalty ,now I admire the football they used to play with pires, vieria ect ect but for me I hate those fans with an equal passion to those fuckwits in bandit country, another set of fans I would gladly steam into are the scousers, who imo are the biggest scumbags/hypocrites in football
in order of scummiestishness :)

Why did you feel the need to go onto his blog and put our side of the story then?

Why do you think? To expose their blatant hypocrisy for what it is, while at the same time debunking their myths about our club. What would you sooner we did? Let them get away with spouting bollocks and not challenge it?

I think you've also missed out his 'Arsenal fans have a right to feel entitled to take the moral high ground regarding us' jibe too

It's not as if they bought their way in to the division
Or stole another team's players and manager to win the league
Or buy a whole foreign set of players to become relevant again
Or even charge the highest prices in Britain

Oh they have every right to the moral high ground, the fucking lemmings

I dont mind the de-bunking of myths that they try to spread out the club, thats fair enough as you are correcting factual errors. It when people get into the territory of trying to justifying our spending by pointing out that other clubs have done it in the past. With Arsenal its Danny Fizsmann and his £50m injection which is eternally quoted and based on a couple of sentances uttered by Tony Adams. Its not really comparable to what we are trying to do though is it?

I think through exasperation you have started to bring events from nearly 100 years ago to try and justify it.

We were fantastically lucky to win the football equivalent of the lottery, enjoy it , dont try and defend it because we cant

The real disgrace is that it takes this kind of event for any club to even think about breaking into the cosy cartel that they had set up for themselves, which they then tried to stop by pulling up the FPP drawbridge.

They are now finding solace in the moral high ground , which in fairness they are entitled to take.
You've lost me here, these tits support a club that wormed its way into the top flight in highly dubious circumstances after finishing 5th in the 2nd tier (no play-offs then) yet you think they can take the moral high ground??
This conversation is worse off for the lack of that Adebayor gif.
