The real disgrace is that it takes this kind of event for any club to even think about breaking into the cosy cartel that they had set up for themselves, which they then tried to stop by pulling up the FPP drawbridge.

I get the impression you're embarrassed to be a City fan. Why don't you go and support a team that's done it the "right way".

I'm not being funny but you're sounding more like a bitter, ill-informed Gooner than a City fan. I don't need to justify anything - I'm just responding to fans that show a complete lack of self-awareness of their own history in trying to occupy some fake moral high ground.

I said it on there the other day - EVERY club has baggage. Every accusation that was thrown at City I was happy to answer yet when I threw a fuck load of stuff back much of it was ignored. What does that tell you?

That football fans are blinkered when it comes to their own club. We would do exactly the same if we had opposition fans coming on here

Show me a City fan that has ever claimed otherwise and then compare it some of the bitter opposition fans who think their club is perfect, and continues to claim it even when presented with a mountain of evidence that proves otherwise.

But City don't have a banner at the ground anything like that hilarious "Money can't buy class" garbage at the Emirates. Their sheer lack of self-awareness eclipses even the Scousers.

I don't think that where they finish in the league entitles them to take this attitude of moral indignation , the two are fairly unconnected, I would think, and saying that their "sugar daddy" wasn't comparable to ours because ours has more ambition ( and is richer) is totally fallacious. It is a matter of principle, according to arsenal fans anyway- the point is that it was outside investment , that facilitated their rise to the top, by enabling them to buy top class players.

It means that I'm not ashamed of my club because I dont feel the need to go onto another board to try and put people straight and justify our spending by pointing out facts about their club from nearly one hundred years ago.
