De Bruyne?

agree but surely its down to the powers (txixi etc) at be to convince him that his england career wouldn't be affected

same with KDB - surely its own to the same people to convince KDB that he is better off with us than at his present club.......if they fail to do that we will lose this signing as well

This one seems like it could last all summer..

Man City transfers: De Bruyne needs time to consider his future - agent
http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...fer-news/man-city-transfers-de-bruyne-9636671
A representative for the Wolfsburg player namedropped PSG and Bayern but said he would not be making an immediate decision.

Kevin De Bruyne needs time to decide what is best for the next step of his career, according to his agent.

The 24-year-old has been identified as a top target for Manchester City this summer as Manuel Pellegrini looks to inject fresh impetus into his squad.

But if the Blues want De Bruyne, they face competition.

As the player’s agent spoke of the need for deliberation, he also mentioned other top European clubs interested in his signature.

“We will wait for Kevin to return from his vacation and then take time to make the best choice for his career,” Patrick de Koster told Canal+.

“Everyone would like to have Kevin in their team but what the press are saying is wrong.

“I keep in contact with PSG as well as Bayern and of course Wolfsburg, but there is no significant progress for now.”

A few days old this piece bud.

This is the only one of the main 3 targets that I think we might miss out on. Just have a feeling he'll stay at Wolfsburg. Hope I'm wrong.

Also the easiest one of the three to find good alternatives to who ticks the same boxes. If the other two comes, and kevin dont I dont really care. Gotze, Isco maybe even Coutinho who I believe will thrive in a better team is 3 players of the top of my head I would be happy with. Thiago Alcantara is another one

Seriously,do you believe that any of the named ones are on offer ?

Wolfsburg are close to succumbing to pressure from Inter (no Champions League football) to sell them Perisic. That should tell you something, that even with the Volkswagen millions, they will sell players. As they did when we pressured them for Dzeko.

If De Bruyne wants to go, he will go. Wolfsburg won't be able to stop him and they won't be as arsey as Liverpool have been with Sterling (although he'll cost a lot). Wolfsburg will try to play on his loyalty to them to try and keep him, since they have treated him very well.

But while we may not be a global glamour club yet, we offer more in every department than Wolfsburg. More exposure, more money, more chance of trophies, bigger stadium, more fans. I'd be surprised if he turns us down, he is very self-confident unlike the bottler who turned around today, and we can surely offer him weekly football since his impact is much greater than Nasri's.

Just say yes, Kev.

-------------Y Toure-----Pogba---------------
---Sterling--------De Bruyne----Silva-------
----------------------Aguero-----------------------

If the impossible was pulled off, it would accumulate to one of the best front sixes ever seen in the Premier league on paper. Whether it can match the success of 2005 Chelsea, 2008 Man u, 2004 Arsenal remains to be seen, but certainly all the right ingredients.

De Bruyne would help in the CL where he can unlock defences with his passing and movement. Against Barca over the last 2 years, we didn't do nearly enough going forward when we had the ball, hopefully this will be addressed with better creative players.

Coutinho not a chance.

If he leaves Liverpool it will be to replace Iniesta in 2-3 years.
Yeah, I just put him out there because a lot of people dont rate him. I think he's really, really good, but dippers fans tend to overrate him too much because he's still inconsistent but unplayable in moments. In a better team he could be a ballon d'or contender

Perisic has been wanting to leave for a while, no?

But yes, the ball is entirely in De Bruyne's court, I have no doubt that Wolfsburg will let him go if he decides that's what he wants, as is currently the case with Perisic. We'll still have to meet their asking price, but that's about it, if we don't get Pogba we have no excuse not to meet that price.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Breathe

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Seriously?

Coutinho?

He's ok, but he's not even close to that level.

One of the most overrated footballers in the Premier League. Quite how he was on the short list for Player Of The Year I'll never know. He scored less goals, and created less assists for team mates than Silva did, and Silva didn't have the best of seasons last year.

ha ha ha. This is a heavy exaggeration. De bruyne, sterling and pogba are no where near proven enough yet to be considered a part of one of the EPL's best front sixes. Maybe, if it happens, we can look back in a few years and say something like this. I don't think De Bruyne is half the player some of you make him out to be. Time will tell.
