Media bias against City

Or he's confusing Pellegrini with the Turtle because that's exactly what that shiny headed clown does.

Or he should keep it shut.

3 games in charge of Southend Utd, winning 1 and losing the other 2 does not qualify him to make that sort of remark about a manager who won a league and cup double in his first season.

Stupid Twat!

Stewart Robson that is ;-)

Q) What's it got to do with a London newspaper?

A) there's loads of rags down there to pander to.

That's what all this coverage boils down to. Media outlets are well aware which clubs have most fans and stories about those clubs will get more clicks (selling paper copies is increasingly irrelevant). Whatever we think about it fact is we haven't got the millions of global followers that Liverpool, Arsenal and United have. It's simple economics. I doubt the writers even believe half of what they write but they a know who pays the bills. It's not personal.

The only reason the media are like they are is because most of the journos don't support City...They mainly support the traditional top 4

This is unavoidable and we will just have to suck it up until the new generation come through the ranks...Chances are there may be a better representation of City journos the more years we are there or thereabouts at the top of the tree

This and as utd's casual fans stop clicking to mutv as their decline from top dog becomes more apparent; the analysts will be telling their boss the trend of gerneral possitive utd/liverpool news and negative City stuff is not the dynamic anymore and it is not paying to keep that narrative.

Just for now though the seething masses are happy to shake their fist at us because their team is not doing so great, unless they are just bitter Chelsea fans.

Daily Mail went through "hits and misses" of City signings.

Apparently Zack Faour is a failed signing for us, having been signed at 15 and two years later failed to make a single first team appearance.

Maybe the Mail is actually a satire paper and no ones picked up on it yet? That's all I can think off because at this point they have become a parody of themselves.

Still bitter we didn't just take UEFA to court instead of accepting those FFP sanctions. It is just institutionalised hatred for City. Oh well Serg, keep winning the important trophies like Golden Boots and Premier Leagues.

Missed your post as I was typing my reply. Agreed though about Murray.

He does fight our corner which as he is a Liverpool fan must be tough but professional of him.

I agree with this, listening to Murray yesterday morning he even stated (after sticking up for us) 'That there is a different way to get ratings' which was almost as though he felt the need to justify himself.

Just cancelled my sky sports subscription and was on the phone for 54 mins talking to an Arsenal fan. He asked why I was ditching the package, told him it was because of the fee increase but also because they never have anything good to say about City. To be fair the bloke was ok as we spoke about football in general and the way Utd and Liverpool are the media's darlings. He never tried to convince me to say but rather we had a good debate about how he believes City get a fair crack and I do not.

Funny how in his job he can stay on the phone for close to an hour and just talk about football.

He can't really, retention teams have targets on how many people they persuade to sell and they have to adhere to an average call time too. If his manager listens to that call he'd get massively bollocked. That being said I always used to do it when I worked at BT.

Had 4 different people giving me Spanish Inqui when I cancelled last November. Eventually got a Scot Rangers fan who understood me saying sick of rags dippers & arse bias & commentators with the 20 million going to Handball the last straw. No further contact.

From the Ipswich Town forum - looks like other fans buy all the shit the media sell. Also the inaccuracies in the post are laughable

There is something drastically wrong with the football world, and the reflection of the obscenity of money now within it, when a player like Raheem Sterling is being sold for not only £49m BUT is now our nations most expensive sale as a player. Christ!
He has in no way shown qualities to match that valuation and I just think of Man City, mugs. It's what comes from having Saudi's running the club and a care free sense of money falling out of their back pocket. And I know that's some back pocket!
I just think what a poor state of affairs that the best sale now is Sterling.
And apparently Jordan Ibe is a better player, skill wise, and of his developing future, than Sterling is anyway.
The riches of football...ridiculous
