It's worth noting that the "I see no ships" brigade have been conspicuous by their absence since the end of season awards were divvied up.

Did you know?

Nelson never wore an eye patch. He added an eye shade to his Admiral's hat, like a peak.
He didn't say 'I see no ships'. Instead he said, during the Battle of Copenhagen, '...I have only one eye. I have a right to be blind sometimes', and, raising his telescope to his blind eye, 'I really do not see the signal'.

Like many historical quotations, the apocryphal version is significantly more pithy than the real one :-)

There is no agenda or anti City bias in the media but we are ignored. Those two things are very different.
I do agree there is also a no 'pro City' effect. However the two are mutally exclusive.

If we are being totally honest with ourselves then the club also have to take some of the blame and responsibility for the no 'pro City' situation.
Our PR overall is dreadful:
A management team that seem to be struck dumb.
A manager who, well lets just say he's not exactly the best in handling the media is he?
A marketing operation within the club who clearly believe all forms of PR and club promotion has to be communicated via social media.

When you compare our PR (or significant lack of) to the rags, Chelsea & Liverpool is it really that much of a surprise that we are ignored?

Utter drivel.

Possibly so.
But are you perceptive enough, knowledgeable enough or well informed enough to offer a rational, reasoned and objective debate to explain why my friend?
Over to you...

Care to explain how you came to your opinion of the clubs PR? Give me some examples of what Chelsea, Liverpool and the Rags do so well with their PR.

The rags' PR machine is imperious. Nothing comes close to its reach and influence, including ours.

I have just loaded the sky sports app on my phone and they have season reviews on there for Chelsea, the rags, the arse, and the dippers!! I'm pretty sure we finished 2nd!!! Instead they opted to review their wish for top 4!

Love the MUEN spin on Falcao the flop: 'United won hotly-contested race for him LAST YEAR'.

If he'd been with us it'd be 'Expensive flop cost City ££££ per goal'

Let us take one aspect of the last season - the opening of the CFA! Had this been the Rags, or the Dippers, or CFC, having a training ground on the doorstep of the stadium we would never have heard the last of it! Some elements of the RagDipperMeedya had nothing but the usual snide comments about its opening! The Club invite the press and media but they have no control over the shite they write. That is the agenda. Item one on their agenda is that we are going to downgrade or ignore anything that MCFC do as a club, no matter what the positive outcome might be for football or the wider community! It's been going on for the last five years! It is staring people in the face and is broadcast week in and week out, or NOT broadcast week in, week out! I have come to the conclusion that if MCFC built hospitals, nursing homes, high speed rail lines, housed the homeless and gave out free pies in Piccadilly, there would be people in the media who would sneer at it and tell us that it was just a cynical ploy! Let's get on and just watch our football team!

I like the sound of this free pie idea

Not sure if it's been posted elsewhere but it's interesting

Amalgamated results for the big four clubs from 2010/11 to 2014/15 (5 seasons)
Arsenal 365 pts 151 GD
Chelsea 379 pts 176 GD
Man Utd 392 pts 186GD
Man City 403 pts 233GD

Very good that I would give us 8/10 over the last 5 seasons

Will this graph be used on SkY TV any time soon....?

No!! = I thought not. Too near the truth for those muppets.

I agree with you, but I don't see how this relates City's PR.
