De Bruyne?

As we all know Txiki and Khaldoon don't discuss transfers which although keeps us in the dark ,but is prob the correct way to do transfer business HOWEVER if we do no more business should we expect Khaldoon to explain why the plan to invest in quality to move us on this summer has not been realized
Sorry mate, dumbass prize of the day is yours..

I hope so but we've done nothing recently to suggest that we will even consider playing Nacho all that often. Bony will score goals and hopefully so will Sterling, but I still think we need another option in midfield because out of those 3, only 1 of them is going to be a regular starter so we need goals from our first 11 or at the very least we need someone who can stand in for Toure and still be a goal threat.
Done nothing mate?

We've shipped the two ahead of him off and played him in every preseason game. Other than hoisting a flag above the Etihad stating "Nacho is a first teamer", I don't see what else you'd have been looking for.

Out of those I stated, none, other than maybe Milner at a push, were first team starters either.

Dzeko from 2 seasons ago would be a loss. Dzeko from last season an empty space is actually an improvement, just for the fact of not playing him.

I didn't mean particularly with Nacho, I meant with youngsters in general. It's Pellers last season so I don't see it as being a season for him to be giving young players experience when he has internationals in front of them in the pecking order also battling for game time.

As much as I'd like to believe that Nacho has played because he is a huge part of our plans this season, I'm also aware that Aguero wasn't there and Bony was ill so I'll reserve judgement on that one.

Whats the point of waiting until the end of the window? Will the price be cheaper? No. Are we in desperate need of a player like De Bruyne? Yep......why wait? Its sad actually as without saying like for like he is literally begging us to buy him!

Nothing to suggest we'll play him? What about playing him in all 5 preseason games, and selling off the other two strikers in the squad???

He's third choice. He won't play loads, but he'll be a regular on the bench and I'm sure he'll get half a dozen starts minimum.

Also remember that he played significant minutes on the USA tour last summer. Of course he couldn't get into the lineup because his couldn't get his work papers sorted until November or so.

IMO I think the club is waiting for Dzeko to Roma to be finalized before we officially put in a bid. I would also assume Txiki has been talking with Wolfsburg officials and KDB's agent on what will be needed to take him away. I don't think he's needed against West Brom but I would LOVE to see him either start or appear as a sub against Chelsea

I'm not slagging Lampard off, but he was what he was and whilst he started the season well (for a mid 30's midfielder), he was not amazing, nor irreplaceable and Delph will have expect to start far more games than Frank managed.

Lampard scored 6 league goals in 9 months here, that's exactly twice the amount Delph scored in his entire time at Villa.

They're different players of course, with different strengths and weaknesses, but I don't understand why you'd have you denigrate Lampard to elevate Delph. Lampard certainly did his bit last season, he played a reasonably important role in the squad.
