Post counts

Joke of a decision imo.

At a time we are being swamped by rags and wums on an almost daily basis, one of the easiest ways of routing them out has been taken because a few decided they didn't like having a low post count whilst some had high due to years of posting and contributing to the site and they didn't like the banter this site has always had.

Its been fine since 2004 yet all of a sudden it needs fixing and needs to go?

Hard enough as it is these days on here at times due to the rags and wums and this is yet another small victory for the cunts imo.

Bollocks decision from a bollocks thread pandering to newbies a while back.

First **** was removed, then post count.

Stop fiddling with things for fucks sake.

it would be interesting to hear why the mods made the decision to remove then people will be able to pass comment

Literally two or three people moaned about it not being welcoming as they felt intimidated that they didn't have thousands of posts and they got their way.

You're bang on.

The thing is, we aren't. It's a common misconception from users on here that we are swamped with rags or wums.

We've allowed a type of echo chamber and paranoia to foster whereby people who have low post counts are automatically devalued as some troll rather than a new poster. There's been a concerted effort to avoid this behaviour over the last few months with Ric making a post about it in the Transfer Forum but seems he's decided to eliminate the problem in a better way

That's subjective (and wrong)

I must admit that if someone starts slagging off one of our players and only has a handful of posts, I immediately have my suspicions about
them.

The changes made effect everybody equally

I think the negatives of removing the post count far outway the positives. I am frequently thought of as a c..t but at least I have been one for 5000 posts rather than someone with 50?

Look forward to them coming back.

in fact you're right, we should go by 'date of joining' instead - you're obviously a Rag with only joining this summer ;-)

I'll reply in here to the reply in the De Bruyne thread! Haha yeah I knew it was a joke mate! Everyone is a rag when they join though.

I've only just joined so this change has little impact on me. When somone posts incredibly negatively about City, our owners, transfers etc they get called rags or WUMS regardless of post count or longevity, so neither seems that important.
