Post match thread - City v Chelsea

Love Reuben's celebration here - everyone else looking at play but Maureen gets the death-stare :-)

What a brilliant pic. Maureen!!!!! Have it.

Best bit about the Moaninho interview was he seemed to complain about our second half subtitutes making a difference - sort of admitting he was outfoxed, the tactical genius.

Perfect result, and thoroughly deserved.
Disappointingly, the Sky after thought was concentrating on Terry being subbed at half time, not quite so much on the fact that that...
You lot have just tore Chelski another arsehole.
Brilliant to see....could have been more....
And, it keeps my lot within a point of Chelsea :-)

I felt hopeful, optimistic and confident before the game and City surpassed those expectations. Kompany was superb a return to his imperious best is so encouraging, Ya Ya made a few timely slide tackles at crucial moments on top of an already dominating performance in midfield, Silva looked even better than his usual high standard and Sterling has provided a lift for all of our players and I can only see him improving when he becomes accustomed to our play. Sagna looked so commanding as did Kolarov. All our players performed so well motm for me though it's so close because they all performed so well was between Fernandinho and Toure though I wouldn't argue with fans vote our sharpshooter Aguerro. I'm very happy for Pellegrini as well.

Mangala with a protective arm around Fernandinho as the players walked off at H-T when Costa was trying it on with the handbags playground stuff. Nice touch by Eliaquim. Really don't want to see him loaned out if the rumours prove true. The lad is coming on well and needs to be backed.

I saw this aswell...Came in on his left hand side and was not afraid to get inbetween him and costa if he was to break free...

I said it earlier but Fernandinho just out of this world as was the whole team!!!

Great performance, loved my new seat, brilliant view, and the best atmosphere and loudest I've heard CoMS/Etihad.

Fernandhino is a wonderful player, he has his faults, but even with Silva, Yaya, and Aguero, he's my favourite player, I just love the energy he gives us as a team, and he clearly loves his job, we are so lucky to have him.

Hart 7 - had bugger all to do
Sagna 8 - best game for us (second week in a row)
Kompany 8 - back to his best
Mangala 8 - best game for us
Kolorov 8 - didn't put a foot wrong defensively, and great going forward
Fernandhino 9 - our best player today
Yaya 8 - looks focussed, and hungry
Silva 7 - not his best game but still good
Sterling 7 - worked very hard, will improve on this
Navas 7 - best bit of his game today was supporting Sagna
Aguero 9 - could have scored 4, will score 4 against someone

Nasri 6 - did OK, worked hard, but I thought it wasn't the best sub, as he loses position too much
Bony 6 - not on long, but worked hard
Demichelis 7 - I like his new role, and I think he does too

Its early days, so not getting carried away, but this could be a special season.

every player put In a shift today and the defensive discipline was excellent. Sterling gives such good balance and having silva in the middle just makes us soooo much better.

Couldn't weigh up what the music was they came out to was then clicked it was Dr who for Eva.
Absolutely brilliant city wonder if the media picked up on it

That was excellent trolling by City, as was One Step Beyond after the win. It winds Chelsea fans up to fuck that we play that.

Love how maureen looked all through the game and post match interview

seemed like he was completely lost

There must some shit going on behind the scenes apart from the Eva stuff. Maybe the petulant one is involved in some sort of power struggle over new players. He looked tired and almost disinterested. If they don't win their next game the pressure will really be on.

Just got a new contract, but Abramovic will not be a happy bunny over the bad press they're already getting.

Their bullying, defensive, rather turgid football, was bypassed today by aggressive, attacking, flowing football, with flair, which is what Abramovic really wants to see his club produce, but he can't even hope to see it under Mourinho. Winning the league is nice, but playing exciting football is a lot nicer, especially when you spend a lot of money.

A big positive today, from a football perspective, is possibly the end of Terry, no bad thing.

What I enjoyed the most, apart from the chavs being thumped, was Fernandinho twating the cheating brazilian turncoat ****, was ace by Fern elbowing Costa; and adding salt to their bloody wounds with the 3rd goal. Hope he's made a mental note to himself when playing the scum bogbrush.

There's the feeling that the defence means business this season, more physical, they gave the divers a good bollocking, thou Atkinson fell for some of their antics the whole match, being the foul conceded to Fiberglass when el Kun won the ball cleanly and neatly, exhibit n+1.

I feel good.
