Some fella from the Beeb (Ben Smith) has said that KDB's agent has told him (Smith) that he (the agent) is furious that his player was put in such an awkward situation. And has said that his player could still join us.

Some sort of practical joke by Bild. Got KDB to say at an awards ceremony where he was picking up a big award that he was definitely staying at Wolfsburg in the upcoming season. He didn't realise what he was saying. Twitter erupted. Wolfsburg panicked and immediately backed away from what KDB said stating that they still expected City bid for him. His agent then got on the phone to various journos to say they're "devastated" presumably because it's a snide thing to do to Wolfsburg's supporters.

De Bruyne was put on the spot and fed a line in an interview in front of a crowd while receiving an award for last season, was fed a line about staying at Wolfsburg, and repeated it, not having a full grasp on its meaning due to his bang average German.

SSN reported it as De Bruyne committing himself to Wolfsburg. As did other media outlets.

Cue bluemoon meltdown.

Slowly comes out that he was mislead, didn't get what he was saying, De Bruyne camp kicks off. Cat truly out of the bag.

He's gone from a useless ginger **** to a £50m strawberry blonde in half an hour.

If it is indeed what they have done, I'd put it in a statement tomorrow if I was him & tell whoever was responsible, what an absolutely shitty trick it is, not just on him , but on the Wolfsburg fans.
 
Finally caught up! Best hour ever on bluemoon, thanks in no small part to the top quality gifs, favourites in this order. Monkey and dog, eye patch giving the bird, computer out of window! For what it's worth, I've always thought this would go through, just wish I'd moved a bit quicker and got a ton on Skype, but I was too busy trying to catch up on here. Over and out.
