As I've said before, I've never proclaimed to be "in the know" - I'm just passing messages on from someone else, because he doesn't want the hassle from some on here (I understand why now!).

Last night he text me saying it was off. I assumed, as with all his other info, that had come via the club so posted it on here. It then turns out he was just relaying the widely reported quotes from the De Bruyne awards ceremony.

As for my post this morning I was merely giving my opinion that I think last night's shenanigans will work in our favour.

It's similar to the Delph situation where all things suggested he was coming to City, and I suspect even his family thought he was until he had a last minute change of heart. No one could have predicted that. And it was equally surprising when he had another change of heart and did sign.

This should speed things up now. It's gone on too long and as much as Kevin's trying to appease the fans, he's just seen the consequences of being so willing to talk about his future in public. Wolfsburg have also suffered as the fans must have been over joyed last night, for all of ten minutes.

Their strategy of updating the press every five minutes has fallen on its face. They would be better to keep quiet now and get this resolved urgently.

Today, now that we are a stable club with a great owner and a fantastic investment team plotting our development in detail you would think there is now no need to build in the ''City Factor''. I hope our owners don't take it to heart and are able to dismiss the confusion as part of this exclusively City fact of life that if something can happen it will.
Our supporters understand this and can laugh at themselves, hopefully our owners will shrug their shoulders and enjoy being part of this latest uniquely City event.

Last nights episode was reminiscent of yesteryear except that all news events happen in real time today whereas in the Ivor Broadis days we needed the Evening News or Chronicle to find out how things had happened (or not).

May I add my congratulations to all who contributed to making my Monday night so entertaining. My mirth was not totally understood by my wife but whats new, however she was useful in explaining who the cartoon gifs were.

Last night was hilarious. I'm just glad I couldn't keep up with the flappers, each page I read saw another 2 added to the page count!
Maybe if i'd caught up and give my 2penneth i'd be deleting the "ginger wanker, shit anyway!" comments aswell! ;)

Seems De Bruyne's comments regarding staying at Wolfsburg this season were not as accurate as first thought, some confusion over the circumstances but seems he was tricked/manipulated into repeating a phrase in German which stated he's be staying at Wolfsburg, however he didn't really understand what he'd said as German isn't a language he's particularly fluent in.

There's nothing to suggest he's definitely coming to City either though, so essentially, we can wipe the last 24 hours from our memories, and we're still where we were!
