Someone replied to the "LVG for not wanting" with........"if LVG wanted him,he would be here by now"

To be fair they have a thread asking if Smalling is the best centre half in the Premier League, The fact that the very first reply wasn't "get to fuck" just shows how deluded they are.

Wouldn't we rather buy the 21 year old Englishman John Stones for this sort of money?

Otamendi is reportedly going to be valued at 32m and he's 27 years old.

That's precisely why we are buying him. For his experience. We have Denayer at a similar age to Stones, we don't need another CB that we need to develop. We're looking for success in the Champions League as soon as possible which is why we're after a wiser partner for Kompany while Denayer and Mangala get up to scratch.

Wow...this sounds like we were willing to sell Mangala?

Mangala was told he could find a new club this summer, but his strong performances have sharply elevated his standing. (via @DuncanCastles)

I'm not all that surprised. He was a liability last year but if he's turned it round in those two games that's a real testament to his attitude. Personally I think Otamendi will take his position before long anyway.

Yep. To reach the summit of European football (which I believe is Mansour's objective) some day you have to be ruthless in transfer market (ins and out).

Calm down everyone, Denayer just signed a 5 year deal a month ago, if he goes to Barcelona, Everton, Lyon or anywhere on loan and does great over the next 2 seasons he will still have 3 years left so we either sell him for 80 mill or take him back, it's a win win.

Seen/heard of too many youth players that were supposed to be great then faded away. Weiss looked like Messi at youth level. Dennis Suarez, Guidetti etc etc.

If he's good enough he will come back from a loan and get picked. We are trying to mix it with the big big boys now and learning your trade in those games isn't the answer. Coming on at 4 nil up v Villa for 10 mins at home and a couple of Capital One Cup games probably isn't the answer either, let him go play competitive Premier football if possible.

Like somebody posted earlier, it's a great time to be a City fan, enjoy the ride!

No mate Kompany was the liability last year, which was affecting a new young player like Mangala !

Anything sourced by Duncan Fucking Castles should be taken with a mountain of Sodium Chloride.
