There are many positives from this deal but if we did it just to prevent the rags from improving and the chavs from making a late swoop, then I'm fine with it. I don't see Mangala causing problems if MP is smart about this i.e. keeping Otamendi on the bench initially and then giving him games when the opportunities arise mainly through congested fixtures and promoting him if he proves his worth. I think this would even make our CBs all the more serious and Stuttgart, WBA and chelsea games have shown among other things that maybe our CBs never lost their abilitybut their motivation and drive

Yes fee agreed mate.....The clubs are not going to make it official until medical has been completed, which is now rumoured to be tomorrow morning....I would guess it will be made official later in the afternoon tomorrow....

Well if Mangala continues his form then Otemendi will have to wait his turn unless Pellers returns to the rotation bollocks that caused us all sorts of problems. We have Martin to cover for injuries so don't see the need for this signing. Much rather us sign another defensive midfielder.

He did a full pre season with Valencia so he should be fit. He doesn't have an EU passport but a work permit will be a formality since he's featured in the WC and Copa in the last 15 months.
