Given our interest in KDB dates back to early 2015 (or earlier) you have to assume that this one will run right up to deadline day - hopefully we'll get it over the line but it's a tough one to call the way it's dragged on but something's keeping us at the table.

We have Navas and Nasri who can play there, could also consider giving Lopes a few games

It doesn't matter what he says, it's what he actually does. He flogged Mata to Moyes like a sharp suited salesman sells double glazing and moyes went for it, he did the same with KDB. The guy is clever and cunning.
 
I think the belgian journalist (Stephane Pauwels) who said it was done, has a source close to Anderlecht and/or Praet. Seeing as Praet would be the replacement for KDB at wolfsburg, once that is handled KDB will be able to go.

Sorry if already been posted, but the recent links with Bayern all seem to stem from SSN. According to them however, these talks and guided tours all happened at the end of last season. Since then a lot has happened it seems (i.e. their DOF telling they're not in for him anymore). So all these talks about them swooping in seem very premature.

There is a difference, these players, sterling excluded, have become good while at our club. Toure not a first team regular at Barcelona, kompany a somewhat unknown. We are now trying to buy established quality players and trying to improve our side with the likes of the players you mentioned is extremely difficult. I believe there are probably only a dozen players or so in world football that could improve us, and I don't see any of them signing; messi, bale etc. Personally, I don't see kev as one of the dozen.
 
Maybe it's because the negotiations are still ongoing but has there ever been a more annoying transfer to City? I'd almost like to see City wait until the last minute and pull the offer and let Wolfsburg deal with an unhappy player until January. By then they'll be desperate to sell.
