@Rony10Lopes marchito i have past amazing moment with you before being a good player you are a good friend vamos

The fact that Pellers doesn't seem to even know that we've sold him does seem to sum up his level of interest towards our young players so far.

If you genuinely believe that PV is telling Pellers that these kids are now worth a punt and Pellers is saying no chance, that's your view which I respect, but don't agree with.

Seeing how other clubs operate isn't really a good metric IMO. We have world class professionals in nearly every position on the field, to break into the first City team, they will need to be something extra special, not just shining in the level they are currently operating at.

I'm also of the belief many youngsters are wiling to sign up with us knowing the education they will receive, but also knowing they are doing it for their own gains and not necesarily City's.

Many have suggested that Pellers was "advised" that 442 was not the best set up for us and so it looks like he has been forced to changed that for this season. So if others have said these kids are ready and are passionate about their assertions, why isn't he being forced to try them?

Bottom line is we do not know, so having a different view on it is here nor there.

Again, I'm not saying Vieira is particularly saying to Pellegrini that these kids are 'worth a punt'. I wouldn't say that myself. I am saying they 'deserve' to be given the opportunity to play some first team football, when the situation arises, not because they are 'worth a punt' but because they may become more than 'worth a punt' if they are given a chance to improve. I believe the coaches would let Pellegrini decide, but I don't believe for one second that they will be telling him not to.

And again the fact that 'We have world class professionals in nearly every position on the field, to break into the first City team, they will need to be something extra special, not just shining in the level they are currently operating at' is the very problem I'm talking about.

Kids aren't like that, they are just kids. Ronaldo used to get rags' fans moaning like fuck about him when he first appeared there, as his game was full of holes, he learned through playing for Utd. He wouldn't get a game at City at that age now, because he wouldn't have learned anything & therefore wouldn't get the chance to learn anything, because we have 'world class professionals' who will always, 100% of the time, be preferred, unles we are desperate.Gareth Bale wouldn't have played, Sterling wouldn't have played & would now be worth 10 mil rather than 50.

It's wrong imo. Badly wrong.

Completely agree. That's why probably he won't be here next season.

This is the key point.

If Ronaldo was in our youth ranks at 18 he wouldn't get into our team and would never have ended up as one of the greatest players ever. We're hurting their development and thus they aren't becoming good enough.

And thus they're fucking off! Monaco will be a great club for him. They'll play him regularly, have a decent european run, and fight to qualify for the CL. I'm sure he'll excel there.

Not sure I agree. I think Soriano and Txiki are to some extent complicit in the freezing-out of youth. If they really want to force youths to be played they could've left gaps for them in the squad and signed less players, but they never do that.

Indeed but the issue that nobody here is talking about is not so much losing Rekik, Lopes and Denayer which would be an incredible shame but not the end of the world. It's the fact that when the next 12 year old Messi is eventually discovered somewhere and every club is chasing him, his parents will look at our record and not see a club committed to bringing through young players and will see other clubs that offer all we do as well as this.

It isn't so much the problem of losing these players specifically, it's also the rather larger problem of being able to attract potentially world class young players into our Academy in the future.

You have heard Pellegrini asking for two top players in every position. They are giving it to him.
