It seems odd that his hamstring could go so quickly if had warmed up properly. Having said that, he was running about like a lunatic in those first nine seconds. Not sure why he was so pumped up.

If I was going to try and pull my hamstring - I'd go about it by copying what he did at the start of that game. Not sure what the hell got into him, he was like a wind up toy.

Just got into work this morning with a Villa fan waiting for me, jumped on my back celebrating like Villa had won the FA Cup. He said Delph's injury had made his night regardless of the score. I just laugh it off with a smug grin it just goes to show how far the other supporters go to mock our misfortune, I'm sure Delph will eventually get his hand on a trophy just like Nasri did to back up his reason to leave. Then I'll be giving it back in spades

Its always a good sign when they walk off the pitch, think he was carried off pre season. fingers crossed its just a tweak.

Didn't expect anything less from Collymore, he has had a grudge against us for a while now and this Delph situation has only heightened his hatred towards us. I find it quite funny to be honest because every match we win is making his blood boil.

Perhaps this has been discussed before, if so apologies in advance.

Does anyone else find it odd that Delph had that £8m release clause if a CL club came knocking? It suggests to me that at the time of signing that contract that he/his agent was aware of interest from a CL club.

If that was the case then I'd suggest that Delph did Villa a massive favour by signing the deal which meant they ended up getting £8m for a player that would've walked away for nothing last summer.

The Villa fans should actually be thanking the lad.

Villa fans (including the likes of Collymore) are a completely classless bunch. They were the same when Barry left them. Horrible fans. Hope they go down.

Collymore gives out all this bullshit about how much he 'cares' about the England team, then is celebrating when one of them does his hamstring.

There is big competition for the title, but when you consider his background, I recon he must be the most odious **** ever to broadcast on sport.

Wouldn't surprise me if we were trying to bring him in January when Yaya was away

I recall reading around last October/November that his contract talks at Villa had stalled, it wouldn't surprise me if we made our move then.

I think for any ex pro to celebrate the injury of a current player is odious. Recent rumours of Phil Jones potential career threatening illness were met with sincere best wishes and good luck messages on these boards by City fans. Spot the difference?

The difference is a massive chip on the shoulder of Stan Collymore.

Stan Collymore attracts the brain dead football fans who range to about 30-45 but act 17, I wouldn't be surprised if a huge amount of football fans across the country found his post hilarious and utter "banter" even those not arsed about the Delph/Villa situation just because that's just how the minds of some fans work.

That post Collymore put on instagram is something I'd expect from a 40 year old virgin Villa fan who sniffs his mums knickers!
