Rags upset with City youth strategy (merged)

This is absolutely hilarious.

City are going to be at the top of the tree for years to come with how the Sheikh has invested in us.

Thank you Sheikh Mansour for choosing us. Still in dreamland 7 years on.

My only genuine concern with all of this is that, despite the fact we have clearly done nothing wrong and are building a world class academy above board - I could definitely see the rest of the clubs jumping on United's bandwagon and refusing to play us if we paste them regularly at all age groups.

We've seen in recent history that they are happy to all join together in an attempt to stop our progress (see PL FFP, which has ironically ended up only hampering themselves), I hope we don't grow to such a level that we alienate ourselves.

We'd find someone decent to play I'm sure. ;-)

Its laughable to think they could get away with it, they don't/can't decide who is in any league, so will have to play who they're told to play, or forfeit points, at youth level or otherwise.

Its even more laughable/embarrassing that they even discussed it, or thought about complaining.

Be funny as fuck if they tried it though, what are they going to say, sorry we can't play them their just to good and as for the first team you can fuck right off :)

I've recently started working a bit on the side in academy football and my (limited) knowledge of the setup is that coaches at different age groups agree fixtures throughout the year and if one team wins heavily then they won't necessarily choose to play them again as it isn't good for the kids. I don't even think they keep a league table because the fixtures and number of matches between certain teams can be so inconsistent.

Embarrassing for them that they're spitting their dummy out so publicly though and I just hope the others see sense and ignore their tantrum instead of backing them.

So these clubs cant see the woods for the trees..

"INVEST IN BETTER FACILITIES FOR YOUR YOUTH THEN YOU THICK CUNTS"

City making clubs spend money to keep up since 2008.

They really are a horrible shitty institution. I used to coach and Manage at Bury girls and Ladies and we played in a league against Utd, City, Everton etc and a number of other North west sides.

I coached most age groups and the league was won each year by either Everton or Utd.

As my team progressed each year we gave them closer games going from 8-0 defeats at under 10's to 3-1 defeats at under 16's.

All the other managers in the league were sound to get along with except the two twats that I encountered when we played them.

All our girls were locals with the furthest travelling from Ramsbottom. When they pitched up their girls were from South Wales , the Midlands, the North East, it was a joke.

They bully at every level they can and at every age group or gender. They bullied their way to 20 titles with the likes of Slur Alex and the thug Keane.

The little lad in the playground called Manchester City has had a growth spurt and has learnt to fight. He can now knock shit out of the bully every time they meet at whatever venue or level.

Like all bullies they are now crying for the teacher and their mummy.

Fuck them , let's see how long their long travelling fans stick with them.

Their demise is a joy to witness

Back in the 1950s, Wolves had a player from Dudley called Duncan Edwards. Strangely after a visit to his parents from Busby and the purchase of a house, he ended on United's books. Sadly he never lived long enough to fulfill his potential because of the Munich crash.

Now United are getting some of their own back and they do not like it up 'em. They do not like it!
He was never at Wolves mate

Next thing their women's team will refuse to play us.

Ah sorry, my mistake.

They should step up to the challenge instead of winging. Throw some money at it, seems to work for the first team. Oh hang on......

This is what they should be doing, but want the Quick Fix to keep their customers.... Invest the £250mil. or whatever it is that LVG has spent in the Academy, develop youth football and long term get the benefits.
They haven't been prepared to do this so fuck 'em.

I would welcome an equivalent youth development at another club in this country as it would benefit our nations youth.
Yes we may miss out on other prospects but it's healthy competition :)
Something the Vermin don't understand - they are the playground bullies, not the athletes.
Sadly, many of the owners of top clubs couldn't give a shit about this and would rather spend their cash on ready made players.

I think long term our owners will get the recognition they deserve from the Gutterpress/FA when quite a number of players, who have been developed through our Academy, will get more England call-ups.

I mean I can see a scenario where we develop a player, he gets released but comes back to haunt us, such as Daniel Sturridge.
I can see this more and more - only in the future hopefully we include sell on clauses when these kids move on, and become decent.

It's symptomatic of the inherent arrogance at that place.
They have spent a generation bullying and intimidating everyone to get their way, governing bodies , referees, it all came the same to them as the media bowed and scraped at the court of slur pisscan.
Now they are reduced to this type of petty whining, it shows have far they have fallen , but they still can't change that attitude.
This is the real world now ,raggies!

This reminds me of primary school when that one kid who brings a ball to the park and if things didn't go his way he'd pick his ball up and shout "I'M NOT PLAYING THEN" and fuck off!

Hahaha embarrassing this is from them lot!

I could only imagine, people complaining when the top local youth team poaches all the best players. Ye it was shit, if you lost one of your better players but I'd never back down from a game, even if I was to get hammered which I have many times. I just wanted to play football, didn't care if it was with the worst team of all time as long as I played, I was happy, I can sense United's methods are draining any happiness out of the kids. Come to think of it, that's another reason why British players are pretty average, playing to win rather than to learn and have fun, maybe once you get to 16, 17, 18, start taking it seriously. Do I even have to mention hypocrisy....

Well the rags are probably right it's unfair that we are hovering up all of the young talent.

However they didn't have any problems when they were doing likewise.

These clubs the dippers, rags and tarquins are a right bunch of babies.
