Bollocks to hindsight, it was there for all to see. Many of us commented on the fact we as a club decided to with only two senior players and a kid up top. Then our manager decides to play both Bony and Aguero at Palace effectively doubling the chances of one of them getting injured.

So being Nostradamus I predict every season Kun is at our club here on in he'll miss at least 10 games through injury, as will Vinnie. Thats not hindsight thats just being switched on.

Anyway peace blue I still think we'll qualify in the end.
I think we will make it too.

I disagree about the 3 strikers because we only play with one striker and have 3 in the squad: Aguero, Sterling and Bony. Bony wasn't great, but then he doesn't play, and I don't think Kelechi would or should start instead of Bony.

That performance was a lot better than what I've seen against Bayern and Dortmund.

A fair amount of arrogance amongst City fans. Why should we beat these teams. They are the best in Europe. They have great players too. We might be the best in the Premiership but these other leagues have teams which totally dominate their leagues

Just because Juventus have great pedigree as a club doesn't make them a great team.
This is a team that has yet to win in Serie A and has very average players.

We've rightly been savaged by Bayern and Real Madrid in the past.
This Juventus team are nowhere near that level.

Silva was so anonymous. I can't remember the last time I saw him play so poorly.
That's because he had zero space to work in. That was much more competitive in midfield. No time on the ball at all. It was the same for all the midfield players

Great defensive performance from Juve tonight, we were patient, but basically lacked the nouse to break them down.

Sterling needs space in front of him to pose a threat, Bony is lacking in confidence in his touch and positional play, Silva was well marked, and Nasri didn't fill the void.

It was all too predictable, but this is what the Champions league is all about, personally I don't care for it, it's boring.

Juve are like Chelsea of old. Very good at defending and difficult to beat. They don't have the all round quality of Bayern, Real madrid etc but they are still a very difficult team to beat. They are a new team. Don't go off 2-3 league games. I looked at their league game against Chievo. They rested a lot of players for today's game and that was important, possibly even decisive

I see the Jesus fucking Navas thread has disappeared off the first page. Exactly what this game needed. We showed them far too much respect by not playing him.

Always disappointing to lose and we make life harder for ourselves by doing so.

Kompany's injury is of more concern as he has been part of a solid defence so far.

Setback yes but not the end of the world to lose to last years finalist's.

well after queing for an hour and 20 minutes to collect my ticket and missing the first 15 minutes of the game ,(really hope someone loses their job over the seasoncard/cityzen card fiasco)my assessment of our performance is a bit more measured , than some knee jerkers on here
Merlin was not fit , and should not have started the game , i have never seen him give the ball away or get caught in possession like tonight , obviously a fitness issue
Juventus took the two half chances they created , whilst we missed ours , at the top level, that is how ruthless it is , Bony and Sterling were the guilty parties
Pellegrini should have brought an additional defensive midfielder on the pitch when we went 1-0 up , and take the result , we again proved our naivety at this level
Our players again seemed in awe of a "big european side" ,and we showed Juventus far too much respect , and never started to play with any sort of tempo or aggression
Having stated all of the above , qualification is still achievable , but we need our players to start playing with the swagger and belief we see every week in the premiership , time is running out for this group of players , silva, yaya, dinho, yaya, vinny, zabs, mdm, kolarov are all approaching the end of their city careers , so its now or never for these lads
On a positive note , i couldnt stop laughing at the rags inept attempt in Holland , every cloud.

They may be very average players when you compare them on paper to the equivalent players in our squad or those of Barca or RM , but what they have are the right players doing the right job they are required to do and not necessarily those seen as "the best" in the world in those positions. They may not be a squad of galacticos , but they are the right bits of the jigsaw.
They looked like a unit, defending pretty well , and when going behind , demonstrated a tactical nous and made things happen when they needed to,and took advantage of anything that went their way.
If we had done the same , this argument would be academic.

That was City of last season, tentative and nervous passing without real incision/penetration. de Bruyne would have unlocked those defenses even from a deep position, should have started.

And what's the point of isolating Bony if there's no one he can flick the ball to? Disappointed with Silva and Sterling tbh, more so with the latter. And here we thought Sterling would bring his electric pace and mazy runs to the CL. He really should have done better.

Fernandinho and Kolarov were good, especially in the first half. That level must be maintained and spread throughout the entire squad.

On the brightside, still 5 games left, 15 points to play for.

Come on City

Thought the ref had a very good game
Indeed. Juve players were falling at the slightest touch. Hate it when these "hardmen" resort to those. Fairies.

Hey guys! First of all i'm very glad that Juventus won and found the way back on the winning track. It was a very fair match, though the referee was a dumbass and donated you a irregular goal. But i'm very wondering why some Manchester City supporters believe their team is a TOP CLUB and talk as Juve is a little Team (For those who have a short memory, remember, we won the Champions league twice, we're Vice-Champion of Europe) . Did you forget where your Team have been before Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was your Owner? That's very arrogant guys. Some of you should learn to be more modest and to have more respect for a big team like "JUVE". I'm not here to start drama. Just want to know why the majority of you guys is so respectless regarding Juve (and badly informed - our squad isn't that bad on the paper if you are able to think outside the box).

Sorry if anyone of you feel offended, just disappointed about the sore loser discrediting Juventus!

See you again soon (@juventus stadium)

Man City should beat Juventus. The money difference spent on squads and wages is insane. Liverpool spend more on wages than Juventus. Italian football is in a bad place too.

Until we buy a couple of players that are in the top 10 in the world I think we'll always struggle. Our players are very good but against the best sides we just don't seem to cut it at all. Oh btw... Pogba will be better than yaya :(

Utter shite, no excuses this time around. Pellegrini should be blamed too, why play a half fit Silva. KDB must have started. And Bony terrible to say the least. Fernandinho, the only one to come away with some credit. Nasri and Silva in the same team from the get go not happening. There was a reason why we looked superb while playing with Navas and Sterling on either side of Silva. Now I am honestly apprehensive on how KDB and Silva are going to work together as both of them want to operate in the same place. Hugely dissapointed with our showing today. :(
