We were alright in the first half but it wasn't clicking quite right, as soon as the goal went in we had all the momentum. I took my little sister with me yesterday she was in shock once they started raining in, her face was a picture .

anyone know what janmaat gestured or did with his hand when he got took of the pitch with the physio?

I was in the family stand but fans over the other side were chanting wanker wanker then he put his hand up and loads of people stood up and started flailing their arms haha!

Fans were booing him because he was sat on the pitch instead of going off with the medic so when he came over we started giving him shit for pissing about wasting time, he made a little yak yak gesture with his hands that some people didn't like haha.

First - it was refreshing to see linesmen who knew how to implement the offside rule.

Next - I've been waiting to see David, Kevin and Kun for the past few weeks - wow, as they get more playing time together they will be unstoppable.

Was good to see Pablo back in the first team, he adds so much to the mental strength of the team. And David's class is unquestionable and boy did we miss him in the last two EPL games.

I think Joe should be the captain when ever Vinnie is out as he is always shouting/encouraging his team mates - and he made a point of congratulating ALL the players at the end of the game.

Great substitution at half time as Navas caused a lot of panic in the Newcastle defence with his pace - a very good squad player.

It was a pity that Kun was taken off (as a precaution) as I'm sure he would have added a couple more from the crosses that went into the box.

agreed. Yaya is not captain material. hope Pelle seen that. lack of leadership cost us games when Kompany and Zaba is not in the pitch.

Aguero getting the majority of the plaudits and rightly so, but i though KDB was outstanding. I think he could well be one of the naturally gifted players i've ever watched. He makes it look so easy. I'm also suprised how big and strong he is, the complete player. 50+ million well spent and definite man love for Kevin.

Execellent scoreline and performance second half, below average and slightly concerning first half in the way we looked vulnerable on every break they got. The goal of theirs was just a mess on our behalf.

But special mentions to Sergio, De Bruyne, Silva and dinho. All had excellent games thumping them lot 2nd half. Could of had ten if he didn't take off sergio.

All the goals were top draw but especially de Bruynes, excellent technique.

Do think the intl break has come at a decent time for us to recover abit from injuries...just hope it doesn't create more for our fit players!

Technically Nasri is a good footballer. He is capable of passes on par or better than Silva. It's just that Silva's football brain is 10 times bigger.
Aren't many guys in the world with better football IQ and acumen than Merlin. Dude is unreal.

Wow! What a second half performance and if we hadn't taken our foot off the pedal could have been double figures.
My only concern is that with our attacking style of play we still have no " enforcer " to repel the counter attacks. Against better teams we may still get found out by the lack of protection in front of the defence.

Great performance second half, I'm so glad for Aguero because the goals just wouldn't go in for him in recent weeks no matter what he did, but ginger Kev and Silva were both magnificent, all 3 of them seemed to simultaneously gain form and it was just beautifal. First half wasn't great, I was thinking it would be like the West Ham game but as soon as we scored before half time then I knew we would win 'cause we had the momentum. Sterling didn't perform very well but I don't think it was as bad as many of you are making out, he looked lively in the first 25 minutes but then dropped off a bit afterwards. I think when Clichy comes back then he'll be better as Clichy'll just let Raheem do his thing but would be an option if needed, whereas Kolarov always wants the ball and takes up the space that Sterling could run into. For the mean time however i would put him on the right (like many of you are saying) because of how well we played in the second with Navas on the right, and if it works with Navas, why wouldn't it work with Sterling as they both play in a similar fashion.

Anyway bit of a bummer about the international break now but hopefully none of our players will get injured (unlikely I know) and will obviously give us a chance to get players fit again.

I know that there was that Mitrovic clear cut chance which was clear offside but what was that 'second Newcastle goal' which was ruled out as offside? The striker was clearly on but maybe that pass to the overlapping winger was offside? I don't know and I think I just went to have a piss when it happened, so just curious...

I'd put KDB on the left, Sterling on the right for the next match. Didn't Sterling play a decent amount on the right side for Liverpool? KDB looked amazing when he switched sides, and I think the ability for RS to cross it in front of goal with his right foot would make more sense... especially until Raheem shows better accuracy on goal.

From my video feed the commentators said it was the pass to the winger that was flagged offside

It was, but that was a poor decision - goal should have stood. Nice to have a bad offside call go our way for once though!
