The injury table for last season s below - days( total injuries) Ask any City fan and they will say we are worse than most. That's because we don't notice other teams injuries usually. I agree we seem to have had more than our fair share this season so far, but it's the knee jerk blame the medical staff I object to. Don't you think the people running the club would notice and act if there was a problem.
Newcastle 1,871 days (37 total injuries)
Arsenal 1,466 (35)
Everton 1,423 (37)
Manchester United 1,348 (39)
QPR 1,283 (31)
Aston Villa 1,148 (29)
Hull City 1,145 (26)
Stoke City 1,109 (27)
Liverpool 1,095 (28)
West Ham 924 (31)
Burnley 871 (16)
Sunderland 863 (20)
Crystal Palace 856 (19)
Southampton 782 (22)
Swansea City 671 (22)
West Brom 640 (19)
Manchester City 630 (24)
Leicester City 540 (22)
Tottenham Hotspur 475 (19)
Chelsea 428 (19)
Maybe I don't know, but could it be that as City fans we follow our injuries, but without looking at physioroom would you know who Liverpools 8 injuries are or Newcastles 13, the United 7, West Hams 7, Evertons 6.etc I bet if you talk to most fans of those clubs they would all tell you their club had the worst injury record.Isn't the problem really that our injuries happens to our most important players? I mean of our main player axis Kompany has his Calf problem, Silva his ankle and Aguero his tendency to muscle injuries. Only Yaya seems to be fairly ok with regards to injuries. So we may not have many injuries in an absolute sense, but they do take our best players out. I don't think there is much that can be done about it. Calf, ankle and muscles seems to be permanent weak spots for our fantastic 3.
When i saw you had posted i crossed my fingers lolFernando and Toure look like they're back in full training, which is a relief.

This international break has seen a huge number of injuries to Premier League players, seems across the board as well, can't see a club who haven't suffered. Although early in the season it has to spark the debate on too many games once more. Premier League cut to 18 teams anyone?
o sign of Kolarov from what I could depict... any news on his fitness yet?!
I'll quote, myself from another thread we aren't as bad as we think even in this weeks physioroom table we are third, with seven injuries but that includes Toure and Nasri who are probably fit so 5 injuries would put us mid table.

Sometimes it seems that our club feels and acts like it doesn't belong among the elite despite our achievements in recent years. And it's a mindset that developed early in the takeover. Can still be seen in our lack of foot down approach to our players and international football...Or just allowing them to do what they want in general(Tevez, Balotelli). Like our best players are doing us a favour by playing for us
This mindset can trickle down to the squad as evident in our champions league performances?
I can only assume that the intensity of our training is the cause of all these injuries? That and the fact our medical team is wank, even Mancini had a go at some of them!
Lot of starts for a 3rd choice. We are going to lose our big three every season. Silva will get the shit kicked out of him and the other two will do their respective muscles. That goes with having them in the squad. What the tables don't tell you is who's injured. Losing your best players (which is what happens to us with monotonous regularity) has a sight more impact than say the dippers losing their 3rd choice left back. We've lost Kun, Silva and Kompany on a rotational basis for the last 4 years, and we've also been unfortunate in losing every player in a particular position, eg all 4 forwards for 5 weeks last season, both left backs this season etc
No, but that girl who works near the hospital that City use said he was there today, which doesn't bode well.
