Attacked at Sevilla

Some of the lads from bluemoon were actually there last night and they have reported a very different story. It was all Sevilla ultras versus a bunch of regular ole city fans minding their own business. If some Sevilla pricks got hurt, then they deserve it.

It's ridiculous how this has been twisted. The inaccuracies in the reporting are astonishing. Some reporting clashes between "ultras" of both sides following violence in Manchester between the two sets of supporters... first of all it was Polish Wroclaw fans fighting Sevilla fans in Manchester following a clash they had in Poland years ago... this time around it was a group of Sevilla hooligans attacking a pub that City fans were clearly just enjoying themselves in. The available footage proves this. The fact some City fans (about two) then reacted and chased the Sevilla lot away doesn't make it a clash between the two sets of supporters. It's the Sevilla fans attacking us... ridiculous. Need to watch out tonight as those dodgy police will not hesitate to take City fans out and we'll be banned and have points deducted whilst they get off without punishment.

Let's not let nuance or facts get in the way of a story, especially one that pretty much gurantees clicks and website hits.

Anyone itk about City's 'firm'?
I know about those jokers Blazing Squad, but at the charity shield against United there was definitely some sort of organised firm on the tube I was on that got off at Wembley way. They were like guardian angels on Wembley way.

Football hooliganism/organised firms is seriously uncool these days - I've always found United's 'dressers' beyond sad. 40 yr old men wanking over Adidias trainers and CP company coats.

I think word had got out about the rags taking liberties at the semi final, tickets were easy to come by and a large number of the City old boys decided it was time for some retribution.

pin the tail on the donkey by UEFA and Manchester city are going to come out of this looking bad they are only after us after the FFP rules was took apart by lawyers and some say it was funded by the owners of Manchester city to make them over turn it

From Spanish website El Pais.
The night was hot in Seville. Amidst the rain that fell on the Andalusian capital, there was a fight between ultras Sevilla and Manchester City fans who traveled to Andalusia to attend live Champions League match to be held at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.About eleven o'clock at night, a group of fans came to Seville for a downtown pub fight with the City fans. They launch chairs, glasses and bottles, as well as some direct hits between fans of both teams occurred. I had to intervene the police to stop the fighting, which continued to produce in some streets of Seville Arenal district.

Some 2,500 supporters of Manchester City will travel to Seville to attend the meeting and since the night were felt by the main streets of Seville. In the first leg, and incidents occurred in Manchester, when they were attacked Sevilla fans. However, police said the attackers were fans in Manchester Polish Slask, whose ultras maintain a clash with Sevilla after the incident that occurred in August 2013 during a round of the Europa League between Andalusia and Polish .

The match between Sevilla and Manchester City has been declared high risk. A total of 550 officers of the National Police will form the safety device, adding officials of the different units of UIP, UPR, Cavalry, dog handlers and Groups Z. According to the note of the Government Delegation, by officials National Police are the work of prevention and monitoring both inside the stadium and at the entrances to it, as well as escort duties for the British team from the airport to the team hotel. To these must be added 53 members of the Local Police of Seville and 255 private security members they will be made by the club.

I'm pretty sure the trans-Pennine part of the M62 has never been closed. That's certainly what my old man always says.

It closed once overnight circa 1978. I was one of the last to make it across before they shut it. Film on the news the following day of traffic cops having a snowball fight on an empty motorway.

Stony knows a lot of shit about allsorts and he was telling me about that farm in the middle. I alway's wondered "why" but was told they just lease the farm from the owner and that some tennants left because they kept getting knocked up at all ours by drivers who had broke down or had to help when crashes happened.
You want to know about anything that happened on or near a road in the north west in the last 30 years stony is your man.

I was in said pub.

Let's not tar Sevilla fans with that brush

They've been incredibly welcoming and let's not let a few spineless twats ruin that.

My understanding about that house is that it was, and is, owned by the Ward family, who indicated that they didn't want to move when the road was built. It could have been CPO'd but the the civil engineer in charge of the project said he could work around the farmhouse. I understand that stories of the family's resolute defiance against 'the system' are a little exaggerated.

That said, I wouldn't fancy spending the night there; unless uncle stony was there to protect me.

Yeah i know lads in the boozer and what went on, was just saying the Spanish press have misreported it.

He keeps me safe in the same way walking around ringing my bell would as a leper. I think the place is cool and quirky, could not live there though, the roar alone would send me nuts.

One of the oldest urban myths in England I believe.

Dave, did you mean to say 'one of the oldest urban myths in England, I believe' or did you mean that of all the urban myths you believe, this is one of the oldest? The missing comma changes the meaning quite radically.

How the fuck can this thread go from attacked in Seville to a story about an obnoxious Yorkshire fucking family that own a house in middle of 62 ? Fucking baffling this place at times

Oh FFS. It's not even an urban myth as it's about a farm on a hill in the countryside. Just stick to apocryphal tales and commas.

Now can we get back to matters in Sevilla?
