Looks like we have signed another English crock following in the footsteps of Rodwell.
It looks to me like his re-introduction to action has not been best managed.

He was certainly not a "crock" at Villa. Last season he only missed 8 PL games through injury, (he played 32 games in total that season), the season before he missed only 2, (he played 36 games in total that season). He played 90 minutes virtually every other game.

It's looking pretty clear that 'his' u-turn this summer was in fact ours; we probably pulled the plug due to dubious fitness, looked to other homegrown midfield targets and after a week concluded that the relatively small outlay of £8m and being able to fill an essential HG spot made it a gamble worth taking.

He's a good player and could make an impact here but if he isn't doing the business by January we should look to part-ex him for someone like Ryan Bertrand and sign Witsel.

We need 4 central midfielders minimum available given the number of games ahead and the age of our first choice two; Fernandinho got burnt out in his first season to the extent where Garcia was preferred to him, it's inevitable given his all-action style that he'll get tired if he isn't rested.

Oh ff's fucking fuck sake, just fuck off.

Not you .A., i mean our shit injury issues, doing my head in now.

A few you have to just accept and indeed any you do but there comes a point where you start to run out of blind optimism and get a grump on.

Terrible news, awful, really bad,a proper blow.......we must be mishandling him or rushing him back, maybe change his diet........

What's actually wrong with him by the way??

Because Delph WAS fit and two friendlies with the national team was perfect to gain match minutes. Easy. Just plain bad luck injury struck Delph again. Would've happened for City if he hadn't played anyway.

Didn't Pellegrini say that he hoped Delph would play for England?

It said in the guardian this morning that it's a measure against fatigue in light of his injury problems and lack of match fitness. Sounds like a prudent measure more than anything.

Fingers crossed it is only fatigue.

It was definitely his u-turn in the summer, not ours.

Bollocks, sounds more like he has had ONE injury which he is struggling to fully recover from and one he does it will hopefully be fine(and you will be able to stop being a drama queen)

Our u-turn? Are you serious? Sorry mate but that is just ridiculous. The idea that we pulled the plug then had a look around for a week is farcical.

I hate international breaks. My hometown MLS team is in the semi finals, if we lose our best players to injury, we're f-cked.....

there are imo too many internationals, who really gives a flying fuck about them anyway, its turgid shite

You talking about internationals right ? :)
