Because the players wanted to be cuddled, not shouted at. That last season in charge was a disaster though, didn't get the players he wanted and the rest of them down tools in a cup final. Still pisses me off that day.

maybe the board member who hated mancini worked behind the his back and got to the players and said he was looking to get you out and wants to bring in this and that player but for me the board was weak and could have backed mancini and say the football part of the club is up to him and we will let him have full control but NO the club backed the players and that board member ??????????????????????

you have to let a manager like mancini just get on with it don't let the players have a say its 1 man to take full control of the football side of things a iron front on the pitch and let the board work out the money side of things and work for Manchester city
