Arsenal away pre match thread

Look back at my post from a few pages ago mate. We've not scored away in the league for 3 months. The defence is a big problem but it's far from the only problem.
 
This is Manchester City we're talking about,when has this club ever done things normal, as expected, this club is not normal & never will be. Talking about being scared of Arsenal is pathetic, have we learned nothing over the years,were we this scared of Utd in the semi, of Chelsea in the semi, of Newcastle in the 2nd last game ,a team going for the Champions league.
Remember relagation battles...the 3.2 at Blackburn, the 2.1 at Villa, no-one gave us a prayer in these games, the Gillingham game, the 81 semi v Ipswich one of the best teams in Europe at the time. We delivered in vital games, much more important than Arsenal in December, I back my team to deliver as they often do...this is not 2001 & I believe they have more to worry about than us.

No, those who have seen the players we have available and think if they turn up they're more than capable of getting a result.

not sure if your view of arsenals defence is accurate..if their wingers and midfielders dont defend or track back as u suggest then why have they conceded only 13 goals all season in the prem, the second best defensive record in theleague..? If you concede only 13 goals in 16 games then you are not" crap defending as a team" and if you are second in the table and heading into the last 16 of the chumps league i dont think the "rest of europe " will be laughing at you....In fact, most of europe either didn,t qualify for the chumps league...,have been knocked out,... or have been bumped into the thursday night league with the rest of the dross.

That said, i think City will turn on the style mon eve, 9 days rest, the blue boys will deliver. Come on City!!

Thing is, we are almost back to full strength if Kun starts so we can't really use the injury thing as an excuse if we lose. We do have the ability to go there and win, play like we did at Sevilla and we will.

Kompany and Aguero are vital for City
 
We have the players, but as bad as we look at the back its hard to be confident. I'm hoping its one of those reverse typical City nights where everybody shows up and we win comfortably but tbh I'd be happy enough with a point if it was offered right now.
 
Supporter information says arrive st least 1 hour before ko due to security checks and do not bring bags unless absolutely necessary.

Supporters getting the 11pm train from London Euston to Manchester picadilly should be told that it is a dry train and no alcohol will be allowed or served on this train.

Good luck if we lose 4-0 ;-)


A card display will welcome the players onto the pitch.

We've not scored a single goal away from home since the start of November against Sevilla and you have to go all the way back to mid September when we took the lead at Spurs to find the last time we scored a goal away in the league. Almost 3 months without an away league goal. Our diabolical defence is clouding the fact that we've been utterly awful going forward too for the past few months. there's no gameplan with or without the ball. and we can't even manage to have the majority of possession in most matches either.

That is a shocking stat, but we did score 8 away goals in September, so try to be a glass half full fan rather than a glass fully empty one. Believe me you will be a happier supporter!

It looks awful when it's put that way, it's 3 away games without a goal, still not good enough but not quite as dramatic as that post makes it sound.
